these people have been phoning on an off for a couple of years trying to get me to allow them access to my computer. Even when they know I don't buy a word they are saying they persist. they cant be very good scammers because they keep wasting their time with me. idiots need to get some new numbers.

Phoned because we were getting warning notifications that we couldn't see because the hacker was blocking them from this end. When I told him we didn't have a cordless phone he asked me to move the desktop closer to the phone :)

Asian male who said he was called Eric Lawson and my windows computer had been hacked - I told him I would report this to the Police direct, but he kept on, wanted me to log on PC - no chance- asked for the company name , tel. No , reg. Company no. He gave me an address in Leicester, despite ringing from Bath! And gave me a toll free (American term) number. Hung up.....

Asian sounding chap, said he was from Microsoft and that my pc had been hacked. Started to ask what keys I had on my kbd starting from bottom left hand side. Told him "Ctrl then F then U then C etc etc. He said it can't be. I said it was LOL. He kept asking questions and when I told him I was recording this phone call he hung up. Also said his call centre was in Leicester. Obviously from google above it's Bath. Police need to give these nice people a visit me thinks.

Asian voiced man saying that there was some problem with my computer Put the phone next to TV for a while then picked up again still on the line he was asking how long the recording was going to last. Finally called me arse hole. You have to image what I called him!

AVOID AT ALL COST

Called 30 minutes ago saying they were from Microsoft. Immediately suspicious as I'm very aware of security. Asked them for a telephone number even though the above number came up on the phone and they gave me this number 18005438160 which shows up online with Chinese icons. Asked for an address and was given 207 Melton Road, Leicester LE46QT. This is the address of the Hinkley & Rugby Building Society! Very brazen with giving this information almost aggressive. Lastly they called me by a previous occupant at this address who died over 16years ago!
They need to be stopped as there are people who would believe them and allow them access to their computer -

Microsoft keep phoning telling me my computer has a problem. Funny that as i have no computer any more havnt for long time.... i even get called a liar and shouted at by someone who cannot speak english properly. Do not allow them access to youre computer. They are cons and cheats.

A man saying he was from some Windows technical company and my computer had been hacked. When I told him it hadn't been hacked and as I'm an IT person myself I would probably know, he got very offensive and rang off. They must really think people are stupid.

Today I have received my third consecutive call from these people in three days. Each call implied that my computer had been compromised.
Todays call was the most aggressive so far.
Because I refused to switch on my computer I was told that they would put a block on my access and that I will be billed for £200. -

This one announced herself as the "Technical department of Windows", as though Windows was a company...it amused me so much, that I unfortunately laughed at her, and she hung up very early. One day I hope to get these guys to run team viewer and give me their access code. On one such call, I tried to get him to explain how my IP address could be tied to my unrelated home phone number, but of course there's no answer to that.

For goodness sake, Microsoft, do your users a favour and start warning them about computer scammers through Windows Update. Until you do, users will assume that you could not give a damn about this widely reported scam by conmen pretending to work for your company.

Tried to get me to let them log onto my PC. I offered to save them time by asking if they would like my bank details and pasword, She said I was doing illegal things and they could save me. Wasted 5 minutes of their time while I drank my coffee then hung up

Similar to other comments - caller said he was from Microsoft and said my computer had been sending them warning messages. Wanted me to log on so he could 'fix it'! He was a bit confused when I said I only had Apple computers and not Microsoft and then hung up when I told him that I would refer this to Action Fraud!

This morning I received a call from some foreign man saying he was from Microsoft and Tthat my computer was being Hacked. He wanted access to my pc to sort this problem out. I replied by saying that for all I know, he could be a hacker! He chuckled, then said if he was a hacker, he wouldn't be asking for access to my computer by calling me! When I asked him what my name is, he replied Mrs Robinson. I told him he it isn't and then put the phone down. BEWARE!

I kept him on the phone for 5 mins, let him go through his talk. told him I had 4 computers, and asked which one had the virus. speechless. the he said all of them. I then told him I worked in I.T and I fix computers for a living. and asked him where he was from. he said Leicester. as I live 20 mins from where he said he was, I told him I was coming to see him. he panicked and put the phone down.

I received a call from a Asian speaking guy on my company office phone. Claiming to be from Microsoft asked to speak to someone about the computers. He was claiming that the computers will be block in 30 minutes. As I didn’t know who I should be passing him on to I asked for his name and number to be passed on for him to get a call back. Name: Peter Johnson – 08081 893 270.

Told me they were from microsoft and my pc had been hacked.i didnt have much sleep so was tired when they woke me up.i am not a happy bunny when i dont get my sleep, so was not very polite.Told them my son works in IT and nothing is wrong with my pc. still they insisted i had a problem. after shouting at him i hung up. they have called 3 more times today !

These scammers tried to persuade me to give them remote access to my computer. They claimed it had been sending them signals for 3 weeks which showed it had been infected with a virus , I was to press certain keys to let them show me how bad it was and they would help to fix it. Had I done this they would have been able to access bank details and passwords ! I reported them to trading standards.

Said they were from microsoft and said I had an issue with my computer. I told him I didnt have a computer, silence/ He then asked if my surname was Evans I said no (it isnt). I asked him how he got my number as I didnt have a computer. Id heard of this scam before so lied about not having a computer...he hung up.
