straight scammers
its an old scam - they claim to be service provider..tell that your computer is infected and its affecting "their servers" (sometimes they will navigate you to very unimportant "event viewer" warnings within your system, to try and "prove" this to you!!).. then try to have you download software that enables them to control you computer,and(or)have you download free antivirus then try to charge you.
i have sometimes played along... as soon as they realize you are onto them - they will start calling you names..british f**ker, etc.
Ive found that a big flag is that they use a (very) english name for themselves...while speaking in an unmistakible indian accent.
the BIG worry now (2016), is that they are obviously somehow using "proxy" inland numbers..so it appears that the call is coming from uk.
Put your phone down on them.oldhat replied 9/24/16, 1:14 AMi dont know what went wrong.. but oldhat DEFINITELY reports this as an UNTRUSTWORTH, SCAM number.

Maybe last years "hack" compromised us customers a lot more than talktalk were prepared to admit? -

Called claiming to be from Talktalk saying I had been infected by a virus and wanting control of my computer. The same thing happened yesterday from a different 01234 number.

i try my best to keep my(oap)parents abreast with scam/untrustworthy numbers..they are talktalk customers also.

Call purporting to be Talk-Talk saying I had a problem on my internet. Probably the usual scam to try and hack my computer and then chanrge me a fortune to solve the problem that the cretins have caused. Heavily accented asian voice which is typical as I've had several calls of this nature in the past.
