Advertising agency for local newspapers and magazines. They only call when they have a 'first come, first serve special deal'
you have to pity these kind of sales tactics, bottom feeders of the world. -
These people are a complete pain. Very aggressive sales tactics and they won't take no for an answer. I'm surprised local councils allow their residents and businesses to be harassed in such a manner. (these people sell advertising for councils)
PurpleOne replied 2019-08-23 15:21:57Some Councils are not aware of these firms approaching local businesses, nor are they aware of the publications they offer advertising opportunities. Be very aware when taking these calls. -
Been phoning me for years, still fraudsters, still ignoring TPS.

As with previous postings this caller tried to get past me to the "business owner". When I asked him how I could help him he asked if I was the owner and what was my name. I asked him what his name was and told him I was googling his number while he was on the line - surprisingly he hung up!

Dashed downstairs to answer the call, answered the phone but they hung up..
" Aaarrrggghhhhh" !!!! -
Think I've had them in the past. Called a couple of times and got the answering machine, they didn't leave a message.
They're wasting their time, I retired 3 years ago! -
Called my business, asking to do a feature on the business. Been in the game long enough to know that means selling advertising.
Ignored the fact I was on the Business TPS register.
However, very polite lady and went away quickly. I just don't want my days disrupted by these calls. -
And again, they told me that the data supplied to them is screened by the provider for TPS but clearly not, probably just trawling yell.

They call regularly to try and sell advertising on "behalf of" various local councils and either act dumb or be cheeky when I tell them we are TPS registered.
