Call from ULegal in Carmarthen - Aggressive PPI. Told me I was due a refund on an embedded PPI inside something underwritten by Lloyds Bank. When I tried to ask for more details, the caller became aggressive - so I spoke to his supervisor. Seen 20 minutes on the phone with him. He insisted that I could not possibly have received any calls from this number before (even thought my phone has registered 4 calls from them in the past week) and could not possibly have been contacted by ULegal before. When I insisted ULegal had contacted me before he said it was somebody impersonating them and I should contact the police. Got quite upset when I suggested he might be the impersonator and I was going to call the police.

Think he called his company alliance solicitors asking for me by name I said if your ppi iam not interested he said he was not but then said he rang up to see why I hadn't claimed some money I called him a few names asked him how he could sleep at night taking advantage of vulnerable people he gave abuce back and I hung up
It's time we all put our heads together and form
A group to stop these people picking on the vulnerable if there is enough of us we can find these people and I know what I would like to do

Bloke called twice today. stupidly answered as I was outside and I couldn't see the number due to sunlight on screen!
Selling insurance/PPI reclaim services.
Knew my name, said the database managed by the banks showed I was owed money. After a couple mins he said he would send me an email which i should sign and then that will allow them to perform their own credit check which will tell them everything they can claim money back on.
Told him I wasn't near a computer. He said he'll phone back in an hour so that he can send the email, I can speak to a supervisor and he can share details of the company, EU or GE Legal or similar.
Its a load of b*ll*cks, we all know this. Blocked. -

This guy called while I was driving, I couldn't hear everything he was saying but did get something like PPI, I said I was not interested and hung up. He called me back a few seconds later from one of their other numbers and aggressively challenged me as to why I had hung the phone up on him, saying that I was rude and all I had to do was tell him and he would have put the phone down... what the hell? did I not say to him I was not interested? This company is an aggressive concern routinely bothering and indeed harassing ordinary people. They should be investigated by the authorities and stopped.Can anyone tell me what can be done to get rid of this pest?

I answered and said I didn't have time for this, he asked if I'd like to be removed from the database. I thought I'd indulge the offer and I was swiftly passed around 2 other colleagues, and the last one said he'd need my email address to unsubscribe me.
I laughed and said 'no, I'll block the number instead, thank you anyway'.
He laughed and victoriously stated 'we have more than 3!'. -

This number has called a few times and never left a message. Today I answered and was immediately asked to confirm my name. I didn't. I did ask who was calling- Brian from (I think) EU Legal about unclaimed PPI. I couldn't understand him clearly and didn't like his tone. He said something odd about starting a charge. I said no and he hung up. Wish I hadn't answered.

Called to sell PPI and insurance payments. Claimed he wasn't selling anything, said he was offering services. Got rather narky when I pointed out he was selling services and I don't buy over the phone.
His tone was borderline forceful/aggressive, and showed obvious frustration when refused. I wouldn't trust them. -

Who answers the phone anymore? If you do you're a fool. Anyone who needs something from you personally or professionally will leave a message. Once people understand this there will be no work for these call centre marketing cretins of modern life.
Seriously, if you have not worked out that by cancelling the call or answering it you have let the cretin know they have reached a 'live' line and will be passing your number between other cretin services to further harass you, you deserve to be driven to distraction or worse.

asked if they wanted to leave a message as the person they wanted to talk to was not here and then the dude hung up the phone.. now to me if this was not a conn then why just hang up ?? very strange and from what ive seen it has botherd many others

Got a call on my mobile asking for my husband. Asked what it was about when he said mis-sold PPI, told him he shouldn't be calling because my number is on the telephone preferencing list (not to mention his data is wrong because it's not my husbands phone). Expected to get an apology for contacting me when he shouldn't. He said he wasn't breaking the law. So I told him to ask his manager for Data Protection training and reported them to the ICO.
