The usual sh.te! Indian man drivelling on about computer problems. Does he think I came up on the down train? I took the initative by asking him pertinent questions about his name, company name, contact details blah blah blah. He told loads of porkies as to where he came from...in the Midlands and his name was Steve Smith....oh yeah. Than as I increased the questioning, he stated asking his mate the answers to my questions...haha. He then panicked and put down the phone...RESULT! I left the phone open just in case they were still connected, as 'up' their phone tariff with BT India! Pillock's!

I've now had several calls from this number - always with an Asian voice. When I told him I wasn't interested and knew why they were calling he got abusive and threatening. All very funny to me but could be worrying for some. I'm now looking on how to take this further, if anyone has any ideas please help

Daily calls which I now ignore as I have caller display. This is only one number who rings daily. Flipping nuisance to me as I work from home and get many calls. Incredible time waster. Same as other complainers - computer scam. What is the point of us all logging our complaints on here if telephone watch dogs aren't monitoring our comments and taking action?!

2nd one of these calls, and same thing, NO ANSWER when i pick it up. Government needs to do something about these scumbags, I suggest we stop all international calls to incoming home phones, and also disallow incoming calls to uk redirector services.

Okay, I love your idea of banning international calls - or more having the ability to ban/ regulate this area a little further, but there is no such thing as a "Re-director"
When you set up a dialler to make such calls, you tell it what phone number to display this is why a lot of foreign diallers come up with erroneous CLI's (A CLI is a call line identifier - the number displayed on your phone to identify who is calling you)
so if you see 001611234567
This is tring to mirror the UK phone number 0161 123 4567
look out for CLI's that don't look correct, as they are breaking any form of telemarketing rules by not having what is called a valid "Return Path"
As you have to be able to return the call and have the freedom to "opt out"
Invalid CLI or no CLI means no return path and as such no compliance.
You also forget the fact that when you go on holiday, you wouldn't be able to call home to tell your neighbour to check you unplugged the iron.
Or for those of us with family abroad, talk to them...

Talk to them, never give your details, hold them on the line as long as possible, then let them know that you have been purposfully wasting their time - their business has to pay their wages and phone chageswhile getting nothing in return which they don't want -

Got a call from Asian male telling me there was a fault on my computer, told him I didn't have a computer so he hung up. After reading previous comments I realised I bought something from Tesco on line just last week so as previous it is possibly linked to somebody gaining access to Tesco systems.

Enrique from Microsoft told me I was a liar, repeated this a few times. I know I should have hung up but he went on to tell me all my personal details, and that i will have a bad afternoon "and it will happen". I told him I was calling the police and hung up. Nasty vile man.

i am called daily by half a dozen different numbers but this was a new one to me today.... Asian male who tries to start with the friendly opener (got nowhere ..) I asked who he was and he said 'John' in the distant very thick Indian accent that was obvioulsy a long distance call and said he was from Microsoft....i laughed so much .....then told him as if and cut him off....

Recvd the call from this No. (I can speak various indian state languages) I was able to catch up person mention my name wrong pronunciation bad Indian English spoken, I ask him simple question name of organisation reply Govt Green Project Next ques. Reg. no of your organisation reply he covered his handset was not properly I was able to hear it he was asking his friend what is our company reg. no. (In Hindi from his friend)few Second call disconnected from other end.

another 'Microsoft' Asian department to tell me my computer is sending them 'problem' messages. I have five computers, when I asked "which one?" they tried to give me a very long identification number which I could find by logging in to any game!! Kept them guessing etc for quite a while and eventually a 'supervisor' came on the line and told me to "f... off, you a...hole" and slammed the phone down on me. Maybe if they have to do that enough times they will eventually realise that they are wasting their time.

Just had call from Asian woman saying she was a student & could I answer some questions to help her pass exams - then the word energy was mentioned. I wear a hearing aid & had a job understanding/hearing her so told her I couldn't' she didn't't like it, became very pushy so I said I'm finishing this conversation & put the phone down. I only answered the call as I had been expecting a call about something else & had been told I would be contacted within 48 hours so I assumed that this was the call I was waiting for.

Asian man ask to speak to my brother who lives at my address. Claimed was phoning from internet security direct saying there is a malicious virus on your computers and he was phoning to fix the problem. I played along with him for a while suspecting a scam saying I didn't know if you were legimate company .He gave details of website which uses a Leicester address which is a private house using google earth. using 1471 the call was from south wales. He was trying to gain access to our computers and claim there was a virus and make you download software to obtain password and credit card details and probably claim a fee to have fixed a problem on the computer when there wasn't one, This matter has been reported to the police don't fall for it .

Had a call from this number telling me they were from Anchor Financial Services and wanted to speak to me about high charges on my premium bank account. Told them they werent FCA authorised and they shouldnt be calling clients in the UK. Dont think this Indian bloke knew what I was going on about. Dont answer any call from this number!

An Asian female phoned me from this number saying she was working for Windows operating system. I knew immediately this was a scam - for one thing I use exclusively Apple Macs; for another, the firm she was attempting to masquerade as is called Microsoft - and as I was busy just hung up. Probably should have continued the call to see how corrupt the caller was planning to be. Do not trust, and don't download anything. Probably a scam to install malware on your machine.

I'm aware if this or similar scams which i believe is an attempt to gain access to computer and or computer system or an attempt to defraud users out of there hard earned. Had a very disturbing, frightening call from this number. Abusive, sexually explicit, foul language, the man must be very sick. Why after so many complaints is BT allowing this number to continue?
