Called 3 times already today. At 1st told me they were from microsoft and my computer had viruses and they could fix it. Told them no thankyou and hung up. Called twice after that telling me i was an idiot and didnt know anything about computers ect and to put a MAN on the phone. Ummph.

Have received several calls over the past couple of weeks from this number. It is displayed as this UK number but is clearly routed from overseas due to the time to connect.
Caller asked to speak to a mispronounced name so I told them that that person didn't live here to which they immediately hung up. -

The number 01274442169 have called constantly and when i say the person they are calling for is not in right now they ask if i'm a family member to which i ask what it is regarding and that i dont give information out unless i know what the call is about. They then say 'bye' or hang up.

Asked to speak to my wife but used the prefix Mr. When told this person does not live here any more they tried to confirm the address. I hung up at this point. It is unusual to get these calls in the evening - I don't usually answer the phone during the day because of this type of call, but until now I thought that the evenings were ok.

this person called used the name of the person who answered ( my dad ) and when he questioned who he was the caller slammed the phone down.. re trace gave the number of 01271 42169 but when we rang it back it says it doesnt exist. Please can someone check on this person and stop this happening again

Have previously had the microsoft scam, trying to get remote access to my pc - unfortunately even the police were not concerned about this really. Now Im getting them saying they are from "Peoples Albanian" saying they are calling me regarding the survey I took part in ( I did not) on behalf of UK companies. I get up to 5 calls per day, I really wish this would stop its a total nightmare, absolutely fed up with it bee going on for a long time now!

I've been getting several calls a day not just from this number, but from others, too - or sometimes they come up as "unavailable" or "international". All of them are from people with an Indian accent saying that they are calling to fix a problem with my PC and quickly become very rude when questioned. I have an answerphone, so have now stopped picking up. This is obviously some kind of scam

Indian voice, when I asked for clarification of what he wanted he said it was a survey for something? again I asked what something and how did you get my number after muttering some inanity he slammed the phone down on me!

This number called the business I work for and when I asked the caller to repeat their request as I could not understand him, he rudely hung up the phone. I did 1471 and called them back, leaving a message to leave my workplace alone and remove our number from their database. Only time will tell if they listen or not...

Very rude, apparently calling from 'people's choice'. Didn't even explain what he was calling for, and when I said I wasn't interested, he said 'interested in what' I said 'we'll why don't you tell em' to which he rudely responded and hung up - where on earth did he get my landline number from?? We are ex directory. And yes the caller was definitely from India.

Do NOT believe the number calling you. Google "Caller ID Spoofing" to find out what I'm talking about. This is call centres based in India. They steal your numbers when you legitimately call REAL call-centres (Microsoft, Sky, BT etc). I'm sure a Microsoft customer service rep has passed my details on. They are trying to SCAM YOU. NEVER trust an Indian. They are crooks, corrupt, slimy, dishonest, sly, devious. Tell them to F.Off and hang up. NEVER tell them your name, otherwise you'll never know if it's a genuine caller in future. These people are vermin, they only want to steal off you. Blame corporate greed for this. There is NO way of stopping these calls, as they come from abroad. Registering with the telephone preference service wont help as they're international. Your only options are to either change your number or keep telling them to f.off. But you'll also get the silent, que'd calls.

Chap with Asian accent called saying he was from Consumer Service Dept. He asked for the person who had the number before me. He said he wanted my opinion on a few questions but teally was trying to find out what products i had.Then I told him to piss off.He then called back from a different number and said I would be bombarded with calls.So watch out for 02085 252839

Simwood suspended 01274442169 in March. The number was previously allocated to a company called Novanet however the calls were not made by Simwood, nor did they originate from their network. They take a very strong stance in preventing nuisance calls and expressly prohibit their network to be used for this purpose.
If you are receiving calls from this number, this is due to CLI Spoofing (see Ofcom for more information) and you should report this to your service provider. 01274442169 comes up as Bradford but is a spoofed number.
02085252839 seems to be running the same types of call (survey or wanting access to your computer) sometimes they call themselves pc wizard. The area code is 020 Area code London, Ewell, Borehamwood, Loughton, Bushey, Chessington, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Whyteleafe - The carrier is BT (please correct me if I am wrong. I have not been brave enough to ring 02085252839 as I don't want get bombarded with calls by a company which hasn't harrassed me yet so I don't know if this number too is spoofed.
