Cameron from Scottish Power called to quote me on my gas and electric. I don't have gas for starters.
Even after I told him I was not interested in a quote he carried on saying he was going to quote me anyway!!!! I then told him I wasn't interested again and was at work and he then carried on with he was going to ring me later.

phoned me twice now, was called at 8.50 am yesterday morning but told them i was about to get in the bath as i was going somewhere and needed to get readys,so they said they would call back.Called again today at about 3.45pm explained who they were and after about 3 minutes telling me i was being recorded for security reasons and asking what gas and electricity company and tarriff i was on the phone suddenly went dead so i pressume they put the phone down on me.But what i can gather it was Scottish Power telling me i could save money by trying to get me to change over to them.

Kept phoning me until I eventually answered, turns out it was Scottish Power saying my account has been cancelled by either me or someone on my behalf, although I have no account with them. I explained this to them but they proceeded to ask me questions regarding my household anyway. Hung up and called my actual gas & electricity provider who confirmed my account and told me it definitely was Scottish Power. Since then I have had 15 calls from the same number over the past 2 weeks which I have ignored. They do not leave a voicemail and have phoned as late as half 8 at night.

Blocked this number from the first missed call, as I automatically google numbers I don't know and came across previous comments on this site. I think I blocked the number about a fortnight ago, and have received (they are auto blocked but I still get the record on my call logs) 1-3 calls per day since. I have also had two voicemails left (apparently voicemails can still be left even if the number is blocked) both of which no one spoke but it was background noise of a call centre. Doesn't really bother me, although I can imagine it would be very annoying if an individual did not have blocking ability on their phone.

I have just called the number back for this and it advises it is for scottish power but it also advises a number to opt out of the telemarketing if you wish to do so 08452862192 it states the call will last no longer than 1 min

Firstly this number may or may not have called me, I only started saving tel-sales numbers since 12/08/14 Secondly I know it's Scottish Power because obviously some of you have spoken with their reps and it's in the posts on this forum and Finaly try this, Call Andrew Ferbie on 01415683673 he is one of the data protection team at Scottish Power,
I suggest to you and anyone else that rings him to "RECORD" the conversation you will have
with him, no doubt just like in my case, he will check on your story and ring you back,
again "RECORD" this conversation because he may try to fob you off, in my case because I
received a very very nasty call from one of the tel-sale reps, I've involved the police in
it, I was advised by the police to ring "Telephone Reference Service" on 08450700707 and
also "Trading Standards" on 03454040506 with the "TRS" I believe you can have your mobile
and landline removed from tel-sales and if any of them ring you they will be fined for
doing so, I haven't rung them yet because I have requested an foi regarding the
threatening call I received and police involvement, the "TS" is where you can complain
about Scottish Powers harassment, I really hope this information helps you people out and
if it does, share it and lets show these cretins that we can fight back using the law
which they are breaking daily.
