I made the mistake of ordering a kitchen appliance from Boots Kitchen Appliances / AO. Within a day I'd received 8 sales calls.
Do not give these people your number. Not even for "delivery purposes". They will instead use it to spam you relentlessly until you eventually block them. They even switched to using a "Private" number when they realised they had been blocked. And when I answered one call specifically to tell them to remove my numbers from their call list, they just kept right on talking over me as if I hadn't objected. How can any company be this stupid? Never again with these guys. No matter how good the price is.
I'm just glad I only gave them an unmonitored landline and a temporary mobile I'd got specifically for work related to my new kitchen, that will be disposed of once the work is complete. I'm wise to companies wasting my time by abusing their access to contact information.
I find in particular companies like this, who make a big point of prominently stating they "will never sell your personal details" are guaranteed to be the worst. It's like a prospective boyfriend saying he "won't even hit you". If you need to say it, then of course you will.
