Very threatening and abusive. Asked to speak to "business owner" early on a saturday morning!This is a private house and this type of call is very sadly indicative of the total lack of regulation in the use of people telephone numbers and their private lives.

PRS is one half of licensing if you play any form of music at your commercial premises (the other is PPL). If you have the radio on in your warehouse or office, you will have to pay. They are in the process of auto-dialing all UK businesses. If you call them back they will innocently ask you if you have the radio on for staff. If you say yes, you're on the hook and they will invoice you for past use even if you tell them that you'll not have music in future. Bear in mind that unless you have a public facing facility, it's almost impossible for them to police.

when the number came up i didnt recognise it when i called them they said psr but wheni advised i didnt know them they said there was several companies they campain for and one was Hotel Chocolate which i am a member. so call the no. back and check

We had a letter from them at our old premises 4 years ago and we don't need a licence for music at work as our workshop only has me and my Husband. I just rang them back and politely explained this and we never heard from them again until we moved premises. Had another letter and a missed phone call so I rang them back and spoke to a lovely man called Justin who apologised for the call. I just explained the situation again - they had the old address listed as a 'do not contact' but not the new one. Very simple and no harassment.
Again, never heard from them after that. Can't complain about 2 contacts in 4 years!

They called and refused to speak to anyone other than myself (I was the only one here!) was adamant that if we play music in our office we need to pay for it! Told them I'd heard they were a scam and that they refused point blank to send anything to my works email as proof of who they are. Gave them my email so they can send proof of their business. Surprise, surprise-no email! Avoid

Arseholes keep calling as if they have some right to do so. Not interested in their licence and, if you check the web, you will find they are trying to catch you into getting a licence.

Just had a call to my mobile, didnt answer as normal, VM left, PRS wanting me to call to update my records, I have never dealt with this firm so why do they have records of mine, hence why won't be calling them.
If you run a buiness from home(online businesses), you dont have employees & your customers dont enters our home, you don't need to obtain a licence for listening to music on the radio or cd's.
These sites are great for weeding out these dodgy companies who will try anything to get money out of us hard working, honest people trying to make a living.
