   I can't believe this is happening! for over a week I recieve calls from this number 5 times a day. don't know why since I'm quite cautious not to give my number to anyone. didn't work... obviously. after a couple of silent calls, presumably automated, I got hold of a call centre agent. wanted to sell upgrades and offered very special deals. these people are a pest! I asked them to delete my details from their list yet the calls just keep coming....

   Didn't answer when this number called as I don't know who it is but it is funny that this happened just applied online for an Experian credit score.
   
   I would therefore caution anyone from providing their telephone number online unless you are ABSOLUTELY certain of who you are dealing with.

   pleasant enough woman initially, asking about my prepayment meters etc, I told her I was fine with who I was with, and said goodbye, she was still talking when I hung up!! Same number has called 3 times in last 45 mins, I've now blocked it!!

   They have called me 5 times today didn't answer until the 5th call music playing on the other end of the line no one spoke so now going to block the number .

    But said they would amend details .
    It was a electric supply company but don't remember the name

    The discussion were unclear as I was wary of giving any info on myself until I knew who they were. Did not get very far as she simply wanted me to give info before she would tell me anything about the reason for the call. Claimed data protection act as the reason

    Insistent caller to my mobile, will not leave message. From comments above I suspect it is a selling agent for broadband provider(s). I have blocked this number with the Mr Number app.

    My phone & broadband provider is TalkTalk Business. I got a call from this number and the person I spoke to introduced herself as calling to do "Market Research" on behalf of TalkTalk Business to gauge the level of their customers' satisfaction.
    
    She had a worrying amount of information about me already; she began the call by asking "Can I confirm that I am speaking to *My Name* of *My Business's Name*, *My Business's Address* - with all of that information being correct.
    
    She then proceeded to ask a few generic questions ("Are you happy with your broadband speed?" For example). When I affirmed that I was happy with all aspects of my current level of service, she said "That's great! Now, lastly, I just need to confirm your account password." It was then that I twigged that she was probably a scammer phishing for account passwords and I hung up.
    
    I'm guessing that she was operating under the logic that your Average Joe has maybe 2 or 3 passwords that s/he uses for everything, so if she could get my TalkTalk password she could then go and see if this 'key' would fit any other more lucrative 'locks'. I'm still worried though because she didn't ask for my password till the end of the convo so I wasn't on 'red alert' - I might have said 'yes' a couple of times. When I'm on 'red alert' (ie talking to someone on the phone whom I strongly suspect to be a scammer) I make sure that I answer all questions like "Am I speaking to *My Name*?" With "Affirmative" or "Correct" because I've heard stories of people answering such questions with "Yes" and being recorded doing so without their knowledge, then being made to say "Yes" to anything.

    Getting lots of these calls lately, they just hang up on you or bore you to death.
    Answer phone receives all my calls now.
    So much for privacy in your own home ...

    I am ex directory and registered with the TPS. I am receiving several calls a day. When I answer they hang up or when I put the answerphone on they d not leave a message. Managed to answer one call stated they were from Orange Broadband and could reduce my monthly repayments. When I questioned them as to how they had obtained my number they got very abrupt and put the phone down on me.
