Like many others on here, I have started receiving calls from this number (01482293811 - British Gas RETENTIONS)
They want to prevent anyone from contacting THEM, But 'switch to another provider' and they start making MULTIPLE calls to try to get you to stay! (In my case, the FIRST was WITHIN 5 MINUTES of signing up with another provider, It must cost them a fortune in third party call centres....Money they COULD utilise in REDUCED BILLS for their 'LOYAL' Customers (sic))!
BG you can head off to 'where the Sun dont shine' !!
(Number now BLOCKED, Lets see if they start calling from another)

Spoke to a friendly guy, who simply offered me the deal I could see was available anyway, so I continued to leave,

   I just had a call,
The first suspicion is the location they called from Hull
Then they said I heard you wanted to leave British Gas! That is suspicious
Then they ask personal information, post code...

British Gas reached out, offering to add some credit if I stayed with them during the switch process. The offer convinced me to change my mind and stick with them.

I was contacted by someone named Majesty Onyegbu, claiming to be from the British Gas retention team. He offered me cash repayments if I stayed with the company. After the call, I received a follow-up email, and he already had my details, which felt a bit unsettling.
