Asked if I was Mrs (insert ex boyfriend’s surname) and if I still owned The Mill House.
Said something about checking energy systems, I said I thought he had the wrong number and he hung up.
Common practice for cold-callers to assume that a female answering the phone will be Mrs, because they have got hold of the man’s surname.
Weird. Was never married to my ex, thank Christ, and he hasn’t lived here since 2010. Must be a very old call list!
