Caller was an Indian-sounding man called 'David', in a call centre, claiming to be from 'Windows Support'. Caller became aggressive when challenged, and told that we knew this was a scam, and that he had actually called the IT Department of a company!

Called and like others, reported to be from Microsoft, said that they had the serial number of windows that was reporting that my computer was being hacked as we spoke by a criminal gang (how ironic!) and that they were from an agency who needed to stop the gang by stemming the flow through my PC.....Said we know an IT expert who we would ask to take a look ourselves, he (called himself Peter Wilson) said that an expert would not be able to find it. Became agitated and said I needed to call him back on 0042 0363 00338 and that he was a genuine microsoft handler from 100 Victoria Street, SW1E 5JL - Just writing to warn everyone.

Untrustworthy scale - 10! Computer scam!
Have been called at least five times in as many days. Different person each time (one time a woman, the rest were men). Some VERY aggressive. Have told them in no uncertain terms (!) that I know it is a scam and that they are NOT calling from Microsoft and 'requested' they never call my number again. It doesn't stop them though - there are too many of them calling from this number to have any kind of a system. They just don't care. Surely this land line number can be traced by the authorities? If you weren't computer literate, or older/infirm these disgusting operators could cause an awful lot of financial and emotional damage. Shame on them.

01484 863114 called me purporting to let me know there was a problem with my Windows computer (.I don't have one!). My computer had a dangerous virus. I'm registered with TPS so I asked who was ringing and the foreign sounding man shouted 'Do you have a Windows computer? a laptop?'. He was very insistent and quite aggressive. I said that it was standard procedure to ring any company back to verify that they were genuine, and that I would do that from a different phone. I was given the number 0203 6300 338 and told to ask for '.Austin Smith'. I dialled from my mobile and got through to the same man, whereupon I put the phone down. He then rang me back on my landline, using a withheld number but I just put the phone down again. Definitely scammers. Not ringing from Huddersfield or London.

Some tosser who only rings for short periods at various wierd times - mid morning or late evening so must have been for a kip !! Based on previous calls whoever it is will get no joy from this house as no computer here now as the kids have left home to go to either Uni or prison. TTFN - be aware and beware ❗️

repeatedly called, telling me I needed to give them information about my computer server because I had a virus. When I said that I had had an IT expert check my computer and found it safe, they became very threatening, saying that they would call and keep on calling. They refused to give me any information or to agree to remove mine from their database.

constant daily calls,often silent, often silent saved message too. A few times an Indian man said he was from Microsoft, dealing with infections on my computer. He wanted to logon to it to probably scam it. Said he would call police if I didn't let him as infections on my computer affected others.

Microsoft/Windows scam asking me to write some numbers down and type assoc into command prompt (cmd), lots of background noise. Strung them along for a bit before I got bored. Went back to eating my toast.
