When I first answered phone, extremely loud background noise (sounded like a railway station). Indian accented mail asked for Mrs ***. When I asked what it was about he said it was about my internet connection. I started to tell him I had no problems with my internet connection, but he hung up before I finished the sentence! Knew he was rumbled I suspect.

Had a call from 01497 874850. From BT Openreach regarding untrustworthy downloads from Facebook / Google. Wanted me to connect to a page on internet to check security has not been compromised.
When challenged (ie no problems noticed, I would not connect to any page while on the phone - I would contact BT myself), they hung up.
Obvious telemarketing / scamming. -

Claiming to be from BT openreach, insisting they need access to your main computer. Don't let them as this is so obviously a scam. Daily (at least) phone calls from a call centre sounding environment, all callers to me have had Asian accents. I have demanded to be taken off their lists but to no avail.
