Called our TPS registered line: "Helloo! How are yoooooo today?" "Who is this" "I aaaaam [indistinct] from Be[indistinct] Leeesure" "Pardon, from whom?" And then he hung up.
Had two like this today, from different numbers. Each one came about 90 seconds after a more "legitimate" sales call - the first from a cold-calling energy supplier, and this one just seconds after a cold-caller claiming to be from a payments services provider.
If it's not just blind coincidence, it smells as if scammers/slammers may be starting to use subsequent junk calls with a false CLI to mask the CLI of their previous call. -
