Cold caller from (Liverpool it showed on phone). Picked up, only to hear a drop. These spam and telepest people should be defined as economic terrorists, as they're killing my valuable time and giving me anxiety whenever I hear my phone ring. Because of this I'm developing hesitancy in picking up phones, even though it could be a call from my boss or other important people.
DLJ replied 2015-01-27 16:44:26your time can't be that valuable if you've managed to find 5 minutes to type a comment on here....and if you get anxious receiving phone calls maybe block the number or stick to sending telegrams? -
Calling about 'overpayment I made' on finance in 2011. Total BS. Number on the TPS, reported to ICO.
AE17 replied 2015-01-13 13:53:57Just received a call from them, talking about a refund for a loan I obviously never had. How do you report those sort of calls to ICO? What is ICO by the way? -
Caller claimed that I was due a refund due to me having made an over-payment. He then proceeded to ask for details of any loans I've had. When I said I hadn't had any, he denied he had mentioned any refund or over-payment - said he had only said maybe or possibly. -
Got a missed call from this number, Looked it up on Google as I didn't recognise the number - found all the reports on this site.
Have now blocked this numbber as it looks very active and very dodgy. -

01515591150 Got a call about a minute ago from this number, PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER IT, they told that a company that i had car finance or a loan with has charged me way too much and that they will compensate for that £2000 and that all they need is my bank details and thats it..
Nas replied 2015-01-27 15:48:55Even tho i am 23 and never had a loan or a car finance.. -
Received a call from this number. They asked straight away if I was who I was. and when I said yes, they hang up promptly.
HOrrible time wasters gathering info to sell them. -
Same as many of the incidents. About taking a loan few years ago, they knew your name.
Bottom line: Harassment -
got a call from this number on my mobile - they hung up when I asked them what company they were calling from. I called the number back from a different number and instead of answering stating the company name like any other company they just said 'hello?'
I asked for the company name as I keep getting calls from the number - she told me 'reactive' and then after I asked to be taken off the list she hung up.
Searched and couldn't find any company named that on Google in Liverpool... -
Who are they? Just called me telling me I took a loan out on a certain date for a specific amout. Total rubbish I think. The caller said he will send me an email. Seems like a scam to me.
-
They call ask ur name and when u ask who they are before confirming who you are they hang up!
Carol replied 2015-01-27 00:03:11Today I had exactly the same but before they hang up I heard pushing buttons and I saw on the screen number "38" -
Some guy (forgot his name) called about a loan I've taken out In 2007 and re-payed in 2009 (I haven't taken any loans). Knew my name, and when I said that we haven't taken out any loans he said "Okay, thank you, bye"
I wouldn't give them any information as it seems they know too much already! -
Phoned my house asking for a woman totally unknown to me, I have had the number two years and never give it out, will not be answering again all they could say was oh must have wrong number this is the 3rd call from them.
-
said they wanted to talk to my partner they asked for her by name however they had phoned my phone not hers i think our phone company tesco mobile had sold our details as we are very careful with our mobile phone numbers
-
called me and asked me if i was a pseudonym i sometimes use online when i don't want to use my real name... don't know how they connected that name to my number... eerie.

They called me by name, and said they were calling about a loan overpayment I'd made. I said that no such thing existed, and after a couple of fishing comments about borrowing over the last 10 years the caller realised he was getting nowhere, said thanks and hung up. Utter BS.
-
Called me and knew my name, telling me I was flagging up on "their system" as having been overcharged on a loan. When I told them I'd never even taken out a loan the girl pretended to be baffled, said she'd check it out and "get back to me". Total and utter BS.
-
Received call from this number saying Nat West had given them my name and mobile number regarding a loan taken out in 2006 - Did not take one out but requested my postcode to send out a pack to sign to reclaim money owed to me by Nat West. Liverpool std code but caller stated they were based in Elland Halifax !!!
-
Phishing for data. Advised that it was regarding a loan I'd taken out before 2011 despite the fact I've never taken out a loan. I asked where they'd got my information from and they advised it was from a third party called Optimum Data.
-
Unsolicited call
-
I just don't answer the phone when I see a number that isn't registered with me as 10 out of 10 times it is a cold call like this one. I do not know why people ring them back.
-
They knew my name. And said I was due a refund on an overpayment. Hung up because I didn't have the time. But I for a fact it was BS
-
They just called me & asked for me by name then said I was due a "refund" when I queried this was told they'd got the wrong number. So why ask for me by name?
Chancers! -
Telemarketing for PPI claims. Nuisance calls as they keep calling once or twice a day, sometimes hang up without speaking. When they do speak they try to give the impression that they already have details of what you can claim for while asking intrusive questions.
They have twice told me that I will be removed from their call list. -
Just got a call from this number telling me that I had made an overpayment of £2500 on my loan that I took in 2009. Then she started asking who I bank with and if the banks are either Barclays, Santander, Netwest etc. I wasn't even in the UK in 2009 so I started asking him questions on which loan I am due to a repayment on and then he hung up!
-
Called me but just beeped and then hung up. Has done this twice
-
Called once and told them to "do one" when claimed I'd had a loan but I hadn't but three hours later called again! Let it go unanswered then blocked the number!
-
I pick up the call and can only hear noise, they have been calling over and over
-
They said I might be due a refund from some form financing I took out in 2011, I new it wasn't me because I was incarcerated from 2008-2013. when I told them this they hung up.
-
called about a loan i'd had prior to 2011. i've never had a loan.
-
Phoned up and claimed i had a loan, i have never taken a loan out it is worry that these people are going round claiming this
-
All I could hear was background noise like a call centre, no one spoke
-
All they are doing is claiming back ppi and other loan addons prior to 2011. After 2011 I think the law changed concerning ppi. It doesnt have to be a loan but a credit card with ppi charges ect that have mounted up.
They get a cut if you win so its in their interest to try and get you money back.
Trustwise I would say ok as they are UK based and also will have to deal with banks and other credit companies so would get slaughtered if they were lying id assume.Paul replied 2014-12-22 19:38:28That's what they told me there menna be sending me a pack out to sign do you think I should or notMudz replied 2015-01-07 15:49:13It's a scam, they're phishing for information.Amy replied 2015-01-10 09:32:46They're certainly not trustworthy as they're lying to get whatever it is they want. They told me I was due a repayment on a loan I was overcharged on, even though I've never had a loan in my life.
