Got a call this morning about hot point washing machine if I had no concerns,when I asked why they were ringing he just said you have no concerns on washing machine? I told him to stop ringing and to take number of my system he said no I will keep ringing you when I said you won't he kept saying I will I will I will. In the end I told him to f*** off and hung up. Horrible person sounded Indian

Asian sounding lady asking for the person who used to have this telephone number before me (she had given up her landline due to harassment). When I said I wasn't her she repeated the question and proceeded to spell out this lady's surname. Scuse me? I know who I am and don't need people's names spelled out to me. When I said no again she put the phone down on me.

Caller rang early in the morning to try and catch me off guard, firstly asked for my wife and then detected he was speaking to a male, he knew my name also.
He introduced himself as Alan in an extremely broad Indian accent and asked me to confirm my postcode. He repeated this until I told him that I wouldn't confirm anything until he told what this call was all about. He called continued to ask and then hung up.Nationwide my a*se! -

Indian accent man, all he did was asking me yes/no questions... like, are you ____? is ____ your postcode? have you got a mortgage? are you happy with your bank? After I replied to his questions he said ok have a lovely day an hung up... which I found weird. Unfortunately, it was until he hung up that I realised he might have been recording my yes/no answers to use this for any sort of identity fraud or scam... Im very scared now and don't know what to do

Called me today, knew my name and post code and asked me if my hot point washing was working. I knew he was scamming but he did have quite a lot of information - where do they get it all from? Not very happy, I received a similar call a month or so ago, so what comes next?

Scammers. This is the "Washing Machine Department", "Is your Hotpoint working fine?" I do not have a Hotpoint. They immediately hung up

This number Rang up 10 minutes ago wanting to speak to a member of the household that wasn't in about a washing machine which we haven't purchased.. after saying we wasn't interested she kept asking for them and said she didn't want to speak to us only the person concerned. She got very aggressive.. Because we wouldn't pass the phone to the member of the house hold and we wasn't interested with what she had to say.. she told us to f*** off and put the phone down.

Indian sounding man, said his name was Mike. Asked me if I was happy with my Hotpoint washing machine. Told him I didn't have a Hotpoint, so he responded with "are you happy with your Bosch washing machine" To which I pointed out he was fishing, to remove my number from their records and never call me again... told me to f**k off f***er. Rude and obnoxious people, they need shutting down.

These calls have been doing the rounds for years and I've seen no evidence of anything being done about them.
I suspect my local police would laugh if I contacted them. -

Scam! Persistant scamers looking for details. Asian gentleman called Alan cliaming to be from nationwide asking for Mandy Johnstone(which also happened a month or so ago) I replied in my deep Scottish voice that Mandy was a female name and do i sound like a female? This confused the caller and after a pause he asked why i was using Mandy Johnstone's number. I replied that it was my number and always has been. I was then asked what my name was so told the caller that was none of his buisness at which point he hung up.
I am not a Nationwide customer and never have been.
Contacted Nationwide to make them aware and gave them the number of the scamer. -

Wanted to speak to my partner about washing machine. When I said I wasn't Mrs...,kept trying to find out who I was. Obviously I didn't enlighten them. He then said he would phone later to speak to partner. Before he hung up,I was treated to a tirade of filthy language,including the eff and c words which I really don't appreciate ! who the hell do these people think they are ? Didn't ask him to call and could do without the hassle,particularly at 8.30 in the morning

I've had several phone calls from this number over the last few weeks. Indian man, tries to get you to confirm your name and address, your postcode, age etc which I have always refused. Then asks about the brand of washing machine you are using, Is it Hotpoint, is it Indesit etc, trying to lead you into saying "YES". Claims to be researching the preferred brand, if this was the case then why so many questions about your personal details. I've told them several times not to contact me I dont own a washing machine, I wash my clothes in the river at the bottom of the garden. Becomes aggressive and pushy when you tell him not to phone AGAIN. The last phone call by was ended with him screaming down the phone at me "F**K OFF C**T"
