I have an app on my samsung which blocks these types of calls. Literally just had this call and the app blocked it. Googled and come across these comments cant even be trusted to answer 0151 numbers anymore.

Don't answer this number because
1) They're trying it on and once they know you will respond you will receive further calls from other numbers too.
2) If you answer from abroad as I did you will be charged even though they cut the call off as soon as you do answer. I was charged 50p for a 1 second call
The moral is don't answer if you don't know the callers ID. I save these bogus numbers in my phone so I know not to ever answer again. I will never answer any call from an 0151 number any more. -

Keeping calling when I answer the man or sometimes a woman say hello then hang up the phone. I rang them back once and the line goes dead...really annoying as they called six times within a week I never taken don't owe anyone any debts so why I like people say here they keeping calling I don't understand.

This number called me and knew my name, despite pronouncing it incorrectly. They asked me if i'd ever had a loan in the last 5 years blah blah blah. Asked me to prove who I was. 'I was very taken and thought, why should I prove who I am'.
I hung up after this. Although I hate to appear rude. I felt it was very untrustworthy and a telemarketer. -

I answered said hello and silence. You could hear office type noise in the background. Said hello a second time around 5-10 seconds later and still silent the other end then they hung up.
