I was called from (01524) 741226 today (28/11/14) at 18.35. After he announced that he was from a company claims for people that had worked in noisy workplaces.

I then asked him to "remove my number from the database, and to never call me again".
He said "why should I do that". I replied "because that is the law on cold calling" He then just laughed and said "yea right", and put the phone down while gesticulating with his colleges.

Why cant somebody do something about these people?

They are a firm of solicitors wanting to know if you suffer from industrial deafness. I pretend to be deaf and ask them to speak up a bit, I had the guy repeat himself about three times before he realised I was taking the Mick and hung up
