Rang on my mobile, Bad line but could not here anybody on the other end.
Checked here and now blocked.

Indian accented lady, friendly, but unclear line. I immediately checked this site. Thank you for reinforcing my suspicions.

Had this as a missed call n my mobile. Called back on my land line as it is withheld. Really bad line but an American man called Jermaine said that they were from the Department of Budget and Spending. Said I'd never heard of them and asked how they got my number. First he said my telephone provider and when I told him that was nonsense he then said from the Consumer Ombudsman, again I said what nonsense and Jermaine said he would remove my number from their records immediately. When I pointed out to him that he doesn't actually know who I am at this point so that would be rather clever he hung up. I've blocked the number needless to say!

Called from this number, bad line and didn't quite catch the name of the organisation. I asked what the call was about and was told it was about claiming costs back for premium bank account services. Queried where they had obtained my number and was hung up on.

called today out the blue. i was told name was 'department for something and spending' - i said it was a stupid name and he said that's what the company's name was... i asked who named it and he said the owner of the company - who apparently goes by the name of andrew bloop - or as far as i could make out on the line. definitely scam

Just received a call from this number regarding Banks- Is a scam.
Have threatened to report to FCA if further calls persist. American voice- company although says is UK is indeed US

Calling from non existent govt department about premium banking packages. Said I was owed money. Poor line and American accent. Hung up when I refused to say how much I paid my bank for account.

Yesterday afternoon (30.09.2014) I entered my details and mobile number on a site I was purchasing goods from through Amazon. Within the hour I received a call from this number. I didn't answer it as I didn't recognise the number. Instead I did a search for the number and came across this site with the exact same number identified as being related to a scam. I blocked the number straight away...

Called from the "budget and account department" but didn't specify the company, asked the caller to be clearer and when I said I had no idea what she was talking about, asked if I had insurance on my mobile, house etc. Hung up immediately afterwards.

Sounded like a scam before I put the phone down. Claimed to be from some government department which doesn't exist.
