I kept them talking for 52 minutes before they gave up on me - but I am very old and very thick. -

Had this call 5 times today first time I put the phone by the fire alarm and pressed the button. He called back and said we were cut of. He rang twice more before I spoke to him again and told him to sod off. I went out soon after so don't know if he called again.

These people have called yet again but unfortunately due to my Truecall box they do not get through (not one has in over a year!!)I will now put them onto my Zap list and they will next time get my personal message (Unfortunately we do not take calls from you. Please do not try to ring back so F**K off. Goodbye!) and they are disconected after 20 seconds of paying for their call. Feel better you bet!

Told me he was calling from BT technical department about my computer. As if! I'm not with BT anyway. Very rude. He phoned 8.00am in the morning and called 3 times as I hung up 3 times. He also called me a liar.

The man who rang me spoke with an indian accent and when I asked for his name and the address of the company he said he was called Robert Redford and calling from Microsoft in Leicester. I told him I was surprised by the call as I didn't have a computer and would like to trace where he was getting his information from so just kept firing questions in his direction until he gave up.

'Windows error' scammers, spoofing phone numbers to make them look like they are somewhere else, looking to get you to install remote access software so they can install fake virus removal software, or ransomware which will encrypt your files and will require you to pay hundreds of dollars to them to decrypt them again. Getting even more brazen now and are even prepared to say that they do work for Microsoft. Personally, I keep them on the phone for ages, running rings round them until eventually reminding them they are thieves (to which tonight's scammer even reckoned he was going to sue me for calling him that), but I recommend others to just hang up. DO NOT go to any website they suggest and DO NOT download anything. At the end I will then let them know I'm actually using Linux, but they then claim they can still fix it. Eventually they get fed up, swear a lot at me and hang up.

This number called me and said about the error messages coming from my computer, i said I have heard about scammers like you, BUT he tried to reassure me he was not a scammer,he said he had my windows license number, so I said please repeat it then he said press the windows key & f4 I said which was the windows key I was on my Mac, he dropped the line !!!

'Richard' (Asian man!)phoned at 9am saying there was a problem with our computer, I said we didn't have one and he hung up... At 6pm 'Austin'(another Asian man!)phoned with the same reason and I repeated the same, so he told me he would ring tomorrow and I needed to buy one! Also offered to give me £500 to buy one - (no doubt needing my bank details for that!)I passed him to my husband who was passed on to a 'supervisor'! Unbelievably persistent and rude people - we said we'd be reporting the number for harassment and they hung up funnily enough....

A man with an Indan accent says that my Microsoft Computer is sending error messages. Funny...I don't have a windows machine. My home is a virtual Mac World. I told them this the FRST TIME THEY CALLED!...and they still kept talking! Now I either don't answer or just hang up. (or if I'm feeling frisky I'll mess with him a little - like I'm buying what he's saying! When I think the scanner is believing he has a big fish on the line and sufficiently excited, I tell him he should be ashamed...then I hang up. Nothing like getting a scammer all worked up only to deflate him. If I were talking about sex he would have had to go take a cold shower. LOL!

I got a call from this number this afternoon. My policy is not to answer calls which are not on my contact list. No message was left on my answering machine. I barred it and this allows me to call it but when it phones me it will get the engaged tone and pay for it. I phoned the number and my provider says it does not recognise the number. Another exciting day at the office. -

Pc sending windows error, When I asked what operating system of windows I used he couldnt tell me. when I told them I didnt use windows I used mac they said ah they can help with that too.. like the microsoft would ... told them not interested and hung up. Indian accent.

Second day running they have called claiming to be from Windows warning me that someone has hacked my computer. Wanted me to go on the computer - when I refused they became quite rude. I now have a whistle next to the phone which they will get an earful of if they call again!
