   Slightly Indian sounding Woman called "Len" claiming to be from BT and asking for an email address to send information to. When I ask for her email address so I could allow it through our spam filters, she repeated she wanted my email address. I repeated I wanted her email address... she hung up. Time-wasting idiots, We don't even have any BT lines.

   Definitely dodgy. Claimed they were from BT and needed send send important update info but email kept bouncing back. Hung up when I said to fax it through

   I have just received a call from this phone number, it was someone called Matt claiming to be from the IT department of BT. He wanted contact name and email address so he could send important information about "system updates". I asked him several times if he was actually from BT as it seemed suspicious to me, and each time he replied yes he was from the IT department of BT. I asked for his ID number, which he gave - 31811 - and I said I'd call BT to double check. He then said "you waste my time" and hung up!

   Caller ID showed an international number but it was 01614379752 when I checked using 1471. The female voice sounded like it was using Skype and said she was calling from BT, and wanted my email address to send important information. Replied that we don't receive emails from BT so send it by post, at which she hung up.

   Claims to be from BT, has called multiple times, already has an email address, but harasses us for a non-generic email address so they can send us "important" information.Hangs up abruptly. We are not a BT customer, I don't think this is really BT.

   A very dubious sounding Rachel left a voicemail on our business number claiming to be from BT requesting an email address for our IT/Office Manager regarding our BT Internet update. We do not have BT Internet!! Yet another dodgy scam to avoid.

   I love these calls. This one was from UK Times. On a previous occasion they asked for me by my real name. I said I had passed on (take that as you wish) and I gave them a fictitious name which they used this time. I answered all the questions and now hope to receive phone calls from all the sponsors which I can then report to the Information Commissioner's Office.
   
   As the call was from overseas the TPS has absolutely no control over these kinds of callers.
