Called me 4 times today on my office number, the first time they claimed they were from TalkTalk. The last 3 supposedly from 'BT'. They informed me that their system had detected downloading issues with my computer and they wanted to sort it out. I told the 1st three that I knew it was a scam and put the phone down.
The last one I played along with. I asked him where he was calling from and he said 'London' (I knew 0161 is Manchester). It had also come through as an International call, so that raised more suspicion! Then after several minutes I told him that the number he called me on wasn't in fact connected to our computer system. A completely different number is used for our broadband connection!!! When he didn't know what to say to that I politely told him to F*** Off as well! These people are SCUM!!! -

caller said they were from BT Open reach and said they had noticed a problem with our computer. I said thats interesting. She said can you turn on your computer I replied do you think I am f****** mad to which she replied yes. I said so go f **** off this number is not to be trusted do not do anything you are asked and warn elderly and vulnerable not to turn on anything.
