I received a call on my landline AND a call on my mobile today. The mobile message 'Rachel from HYC' left on my voicemail had me in stitches...she asked whether I had managed to put my claim in for my PPI. Then there was a long silence as she waited for my voicemail answerphone to answer the question. Methinks she misunderstands the concept of an answerphone. I've never had PPI.

"Help Your Claim" HYC called me today. Usual PPI b***shit about how my name was on a database and showed I was still owed money, at least £1200! I insisted that they disclosed the sources for this database as I gave no authority for anyone to find out the fact that I have not borrowed money for over 20 years, so the database must be wrong. She then said in actual fact they are phoning EVERYONE IN THE COUNTRY so anyone reading this can fully expect a couple from HYC. I am surprised firms like this are stll in business. Surely anyone who had PPI would have used their own steam to cut out these middle men and just do it themselves using the templates from MoneySavingsExpert and keep all of the refund rather than having this lot taking probs around 30% off the pay out. In fact their T&Cs are not at all attractive (IMHO) if you check out their website. 36% inc VAT. Jeeeez.

really had to shout at the guy so he would shut up and explain what HYC stood for before he launched into his spiel and then again to tell him I wasn't interested. No idea what they were selling but a name like Help Your Claim sort of suggests PPI.

I told them I don't have overdraft, loans or any form that would warrant a PPI, yet the caller kept bugging me saying 'darling, it doesn't mean they don't owe you money or you won't take out a loan in future'. Sorry 'hun', quit bugging me.

Got a call told them I was not interested in PPI claim they would not give up eventually I told her my name was Mike Hunt she did not get it eventually affter wasting her time I told her I had to go and bath the pigs and put the phone down I am half hoping they ring back and say is that Mike Hunt ;-)

A woman with an extremely strong accent called me even though I didn't give her my number. As soon as I answered, she started talking very quickly. I couldn't understand most of what she was saying because of her accent, but I heard the words "have you reclaimed your PPI insurance?". That was when I hung up.

They said that I'm due money for an accident, I said I've never had one, they said about in the house hold, I said no, they asked about the loan I had, I told them I'd never had one in my life, they hung up on me. But some other person will call twice tomorrow I'm sure, they always do.

Had a call from this bunch today - about my PPI claim! When I asked where they got my number from the girl on the other end said "I don't have access to that information, but if you give me your email address our customer service team will get back to you" Of course I didn't give them the email address, otherwise they would have had two ways of harrassing me even more!!

First time in years since I've had one of these calls on a mobile. They were the reason I gave up my land line for a mobile.
Very aggressive and fast talking lady with a Manchester accent going on about PPI. She had my head spinning until I got her to say who she was calling from again which was the HYC. Then I just ended the call. I noticed someone mentioned that the carphone warehouse may have passed on their details. I got my phone from them, would be interesting to know how many other people bought theirs from them as well.NickJG replied 1/5/15, 7:18 PMMy phone is from Carphone Warehouse too. Called me on my private work mobile number which is protected with the TPS(or supposedly until today), the only people who have this number is my trusted business partners and yet this company called me, asking me for personal details and then to confirm them in order to process my 'ppi refund' the northern bloke on the phone tried to assure me that it was legal and tried to start a casual conversation with me that ppi refunds have been in the news recently, no they haven't, and when I threatened to phone the police and report this number for harassment, they hung up.

Had a call from this number a short while ago. Thought it might be work so rang it back and it said the caller hung up.
Had no PPI insurance i dont deal with banks and i had this number for about 4 years. It never rings so and i never give out the number only to people who need it.
Where exactly they are getting peoples numbers from needs investigating. I am on orange/ee on a cheap as chips pay as you go phone i never use often.AlanR replied 11/3/14, 4:41 PMGeoff - I agree entirely with your position - mines similar - I believe their computer randomly generates digit sequences until it rings. I never answer any mobile calls unless my phone knows the number.
