Said he was from BT and his name was Alan Grey ( very thick African accent ). Said I had an unsecured internet connection and he could secure it - absolute rubbish and clearly a scam!!

Call supposedly from BT saying that my IP address is being hacked. The caller said his name was Brian Williams and he had a BT number 860 64008. he wanted to make a one time free service call to do `I know not what. he wanted to know what devices i was using. I tried to call this number back - no reply.
I suspect this was a scammer or something similar. I do not believe he is up to any good !!

Received a call supposedly from BT about home broadband. As I am a BT employee, I asked for their name and telephone number and was told Jenny and given this number. I then asked for their duty reference and they hung up......

I have received a call from the phone number 01782211563 and was told it was BT and they were calling me because there was a problem with my internet etc.
When I told them that I could not speak with them right away could I call back then they gave methe number 01618188421.
