Received a couple of clear scam calls this morning with a 'text to speak' generated recorded message saying it was HMRC and that legal action was being taken against me and to press 1 immediately to speak to my case officer.
This disgusting fraud will clearly upset the elderly, unwell etc. so I tried to report it via actionfraud.police.uk - what a useless website that is. Virtually impossible to find any applicable options and after 1 1/2 hours of putting in garbage just to get to a page where I could just tell the story I feel I have wasted my time, and I didn't receive a copy of my report like it said I would, so I probably was... Anyone else tried to report it via that site? Is it just me? Please try it and report back how you get on.
While I'm having a rant, why is there not a 'Scam' option under "Type of call/reason for calling:" -
Recorded message purporting to come from "HMRC" saying they had been trying to contact me/him (who knows) and that legal action was being taken.
Will report to ICO - and HMRC so they can put a warning message on their website about scam calls. -

Same as previous callers, automated message on 22 Aug 2016, 14.51, from HMRC saying they are taking a case against me and want me to call back to discuss the case. Didn't return call.

Automated message supposedly from HMRC saying the call is to inform me the inland revenue are filing a case against me and to return the call to discuss. Didn't return call as this is totally without foundation.

Threats that Inland Revenue are taking a case against you. Return call to speak to case officer. Ringing this number shows false/blocked number.
If this phone number keeps calling you, the answer should be yes!
