After a recent upgrade of my handset at Car phone warehouse/phones4u/PC World (or whatever they are called this week) ever since this date I have been hit with quite a few random numbers calling during the day!
Never answered any yet as they call when I'm at work and no voicemail left.
I have a pay as you go sim, I'm guessing it's some kind of follow on call no doubt to offer a contract deal that is better for them - just a guess! -

I called 02 customer services today and they- embarassed- said it was a contracted 02 call centre although they didn't sound convincing on this story. Apologised for the unprofessionalism - pushy aggresive manner- and I was then given a choice of 'opting out'. What? I only have a pay as you go sim...FFS. Whereas earlier the local 02 shop suggested it was a scam caller. A large deep dark hole isn't good enough for them.

There's another poster that says it's from a company called Intelling Ltd and even gave the name of a contact person.

engage with caller and gleen all information possable including their name and position in call centre ,pretend you require a o2 contract the top of the range most exspensive one make them work hard give them false details and keep them on the phone as long as possable . when the deal does not go through i gaurentee they wont phone you again ..

I keep getting calls from this shitty number on my mobile, I had four yesterday and I've had one so far today 14/10/2014. It rings for a short time but if you pick up no one speaks!!! It's really pissing me off now. I wish I could get it blocked, I'll contact O2 and see if they'll help.....probably not.....

Me too. I thought it sounded all too fishy so I was looking up the 02 cs number whilst on the phone to this chap. I asked him, "could you tell me your cs number so I can check the credibility of this call, no harm, just want to be safe." He said he didn't know the number off the top of his head. I said well ok that makes it nice and easy then and just hung up.
