A woman claiming to be from First Response called saving she wanted to talk to me about my boiler. She was told to remove my name and telephone number from her contact calling list and ensure that there were no further calls.
I am registered with TPS and am ex-directory but I still get pestered by people like theseTonyElyod replied 5/28/15, 6:03 PMI bought a TrueCall machine.
These are absolutely awesome.
The machine tells these companies that "this type of call is not taken from this number",...all WITHOUT ringing your phone, so does NOT disturb you.

Agree with the comments multiple calls, poor quality so probably over the internet somewhere, not a professional company. They didnt care that they hadn't got the correct postcode for the phone number, the owner of the phone number, OR even that I didn't have the right to have the boiler replaced. They wanted to go ahead and wanted to book an appointment anyway! Anyone receving calls from this telephone number should report it as fraud and receive a police crime reference number, call Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 with as much information as possible, including Digital Mail details as they are the responsible for allowing scammers to use their telephone numbers without their permission. Curt, abrupt and downright rude as well as plaguing with repeated telephone calls. These people should be penalised, when will these morons be prevented from interrupting our day.

Tedious, repetitive call regarding boilers.
I deal with them two ways:
1) If I have the time, keep them talking for ages until they suss you are on a wind up.
2) If I don't have the time, tell them to hold while you get the person they are after then put the phone to one side until they hang up.

Called to talk to me about my pension. I don't have any dealing with this company. Caller had lousey English. when I demanded to know where she got my phone number she hung up. Scum! I'm registered with the TPS. What are the regulators doing about this harrassment and why aren't this scum locked up.!

8 calls yesterday. How old is your boiler? We can arrange a survey and a quote absolutely free, yes free! I replied that all quotes are free. Who the hell pays for quotes? A quote is to enable you to choose the best deal for me. I was passed on to a supervisor. The supervisor was another version of the previous scammer. Eventually moved on to asking about property and mentioned my postcode... They even got the country wrong! Told them I own several properties and I could feel the excitement down the phone. I now speak to the duper supervisor. Your never lonely with a telemarketing service available absolutely free!

This number called at 4.45 this afternoon. When I answered the line was open but no one spoke at the other end. I simply said hello, waited 15 seconds and hung up. I'm registered with TPS which frankly seems to be a joke because I get countless calls from people I don't want to hear from :-(

When I answered this number the lady tried to arrange a visit regarding a new boiler I explained I did not need one but she would not take no for an answer she carried on with an abrupt rude mannor stating did I not want to save money I eventually had to end the call as she was getting argumentative after this I recieved a further 8 calls that day and they are still calling a week later (very annoying)

Several missed calls and hangups on picking up the phone. Called back, and a Indian sounding woman picks up the phone stating the are first response and wanted to know if I had a boiler, how old it was and Shan it was last serviced. I only asked where they got my number from, apperantly a consumer list.
Report to police/consumer rights if you have been called more then 3 times and can prove it is causing distress. -

This company called me on Friday claiming I had an car accident and they was phoning to sort my insurance. When I told them I had never had a accident and don't even drive, they said it must be a family member. The woman wouldn't tell me where they got my number wrong & became angry when I told her to delete my number and that u can tell she don't work in customer service because of her shit cold calling attitude

Wanted to ask questions about my boiler, knew my address, but didn't have enough follow up details and wouldn't say how he got my number.
When I questioned further, he became hostile say i was "putting people in jeopardy". (how funny!) then he became offended that I didn't trust him and hung up. -

An man who sounded like he was from the Asian Sub-continent said he was calling about my boiler and asked if I was the house owner, when I said I was a tenant he politely said goodbye and hung up before I could ask them to remove my number from their list.

This number called me and hung up. 10 mins later a box was delivered to the house. Inside this box was a device with a button. If I pushed the button I would get £1,000,000 but someone, somewhere in the world would die. I pushed the button and sure enough the money was transferred to my account. I now live in fear that someone will push a button which will kill me. I was so stupid, so greedy.
