  1. Jessica Parker reported Digital Mail Ltd with the number 01619390454

I was phoned today saying from a young chap claiming I was going to receive a letter tomorrow informing me of a PPI refund, and somehow my bank suddenly owes me money back. I asked this chap which bank may owe me this money, he said it could be from one of several banks which I have accounts with, which he just named several banks off a list. Told him I did not have bank account with any of the banks he mentioned. This chap started to guess that I am owed PPI from one of my credit cards. He asked for my credit card number, expiration date, and cvc code found on the back. This is so he could check to see if I am claim PPI back from my credit card. I refused to give any sort of information to him, which now this cold caller is becoming a scammer. This chap said if I did not want to provide details other than my name. All he needed now was to confirm my name address, and post code, so he could finish sending some PPI package through the post, this is how I could claim a refund on my credit card. He also went on to say he worked for the PPI based in Manchester and was a certified financial advisor in PPI refunds, but he could not speak english very good. I asked him numerous questions to this chap, how did he know I was going to receive money back from my credit card, and how could I be owed this money when he failed to tell me my name yet alone who exactly owes me this money. I was very persistent in avoiding giving him any personal details about myself. I told him at this point to remove my number from his list and to also inform him I am no longer interested in his bogus offer. This chap still carried on about my PPI claim with my credit card by failed to mentioned which credit card owes me this money, by what he has been rambling bout. I suspect that he was reading a script that his company provided for him to read to every person he talks to about making a PPI claim with his company. I never had PPI insurance on any credit card, as I tried to tell this chap, but it seemed he did not care as he kept reading the script. I told him that I was going to put the phone down, which I did. This chap then phoned me back directly and promptly carried on from where he left off!! I told him to stop phoning me as I am not no longer interested as he failed to tell me who I was and who owed me this money. This chap started to shout at me and that he is going to ring my phone everyday, until I finish listening to his plan that would me save me money from my credit card. I told him pretty loudly close to shouting before I put the phone down for the last time, THAT I HAVE NO PPI. Now I have marked this phone number and all other 0161 939 numbers as DANGEROUS, as if a vulnerable person were to answered a phone call from this PPI team pretending to be in Manchester, and I say this very seriously. These people could destroy their lives, these people would steal their life savings or con them to make their bogus refund claims their your bank. It took me over 30 mins to calm down with his arrogance and shouting match I had with him. He would not allow me to tell him that, I do not have the right to make a PPI claim back against my credit card as I never had PPI under any of my accounts in the first place. He just kept reading his script and taking a chancery that he could find something he could claim on my behalf or make up something so he can get his commission with a bogus refund claimed on my behalf. After all this chap could not tell me my actual name bank or address, so this must be some sort of phishing scam. I telephone the number back after I calmed down, just to find out it is for sale by Digital Mail and to phone 0870 446 0870 after the message. Which this is considered a premium rated telephone number, and why should I ring it as I am not interested in becoming a cold calling scammer. So I believe Digital Mail is responsible for all these nonsense cold callers!!! Whether Digital Mail or their clients are making these calls, these telephone calls have to stop. So far today I keep getting more and more attempted calls from this number, as the count is now at 8 so far this morning and growing. I do not think this PPI team will ever stop ringing my landline yet. These telephone calls I get from them is considered unwanted constant harassment, since I belong to tps which hasn't stopped them from calling me about bogus claims. I been thinking of getting rid of landline as husband works nights and I would love to ring Digital Mail directors in the dead of the night when they are at home, just to see how they function with constant telephone ringing in the background while they are trying to sleep, how would they feel about getting a disturb sleep every night.
