After ignoring 17 calls from these people, I decided to fight back. Don't give them a chance to speak. I said, this call is being recorded, I neither know who you are or from whom you bought my number but as I am registered with tps you are breaking all regulations on Telecommunications now what do you want? All I got were stuttered uhms ahs and sorry we'll take your number off our system. So far no more calls..Don't let them get to you, fight back and get them on the back foot!

Really agressive and arguing even at one stage saying I had no idea about energy. I tried to say that due to the age of my house and the area I live in solar panels are not allowed at which point he said I could mount them in the garden!!!!!

You could call them as Aggressive advertising and also as Harassment. They also leave messages on the answer machine!! I wish something could be done to seriously fine these people who call at all times of the day a late evening. The same with Witheld numbers.

I had a cold call from this company today, and as I am ex-directory and registered with the TPS. When I put this information to the caller he immediately apologised and stated he was ending the call as he knew it was illegal for him to have called me.
He seemed genuine so I inquired what his company's source was for my number and he gave me that company's name. This leads me to suspect that it is the company supplying the phone number database who are at fault not Solar Plan themselves. -
