fellow talking about monitored home security.I said I was on TPS list and would report this unsolicited call to telecoms regulator if recurred. He said was a database problem. After call ended phone rang again- silent call - 1471 indicates 01642697970!!!. Certainly silly, possibly criminal

I called the number back.....a call centre. I googled Alarm and burglar alarm installers and ADT for Middlesborough. There were no sites with that number. BEWARE

In the light of rising crime rates a man tried to interest me in installing home security. Inviting a stranger to help me with security could well open my door to a crook wanting to check out the premises.

Had a call from a man this morning saying that there had been reports in the area of burglary activity and was I aware of secure monitoring equipment. I asked where he obtained my name. He said just advising people in the area. I asked if he was selling me something. He said no, just advising peole in the area. When I stated that I had a full security system installed already with another company, he just put the phone down immediately. I decided to check on the phone number by recall and then checked on the Internet, coming up with this web page. Sounded a very devious character ! !
