I have been called twice over the past 2 days. Always Asian sounding accents, both women were called 'Jennifer'.
They called to state "I'm calling about your computer, okay?" First call I swiftly told them I didn't have a computer and they hung up. The second call I played along a little more.
They stated that they were calling from microsoft and needed me to confirm my name. I stated that they should already have it to whih she stated, "Miss Tilling?" and then hung up.
Conmplete scam and waste of time. -
Claimed that my windows computer was sending them error messages which were showing on their database. After he spend ages asking me to confirm my name, I told them I had a Mac computer and he hung up.

I have missed there calls for last four days as we have been out.
I found the missed call the first time and identified it was a scam caller.
i have multiple computers so i was looking forward to asking which computer it was that had the problem and allegedly switching them on to waste there time and giving them some false ip addresses as I did tech support for Mainframe and PC's for close on 40 years. -

Called at 10.45 at night. Silence, then line went dead
-
Got the same story about my computer at risk and that they were from MS. I kept asking them delaying questions so in the end they just hung up. At least I managed to waste some of their time.
-
THIS IS A SCAM! They phoned telling you that there was a problem with your Microsoft computer. Very confused when they were told they were fraudsters and them hung up.
-
Had several calls from this number. Silence initially then the phone is put down. Reason for calling not known but suspect the are prospecting!
-
As all above 2nd call this morning. Just replied I don't want this call and you should be ashamed of yourself.
-
comments as above "claim to be Microsoft tech team". Indian sounding female. I hung up as have had similar calls before
-
getting repeated calls from people with strong Indian accents from fake computer tech support scam. they allege they are from Microsoft and state that my computer has a virus that needs fixing. please don't proceed with the phone call or let them have access to your computer, just hang up!

when you try to ring it back, number has not been recognized. Shows the B.T. exchanges really work (not)

Asain accented male claiming to be called Daniel, informed me he was from Microsoft and had identified we had sent lots of error reports recently (this was true) and that we were showing as at risk from hackers - I asked him if he wanted money to rectify this or access to my computer, he replied he was from microsoft, I told him I wasn't stupid and asked how he got the number, he told me we were registered with microsoft - I told him I didn't believe him and said I would call him back yo confirm where he was from - he offered to give me his number, I told him I'd do 1471 and check the number he'd called from - he was still insisting he was from microsoft as I hung up - did 1471 and checked no - loads of complaints - def a scam

Claimed to be from Microsoft and from 207 Melton Road Leicester....apparently my computer is being hacked as we spoke....strange that the phone number was this one in Middlesborough
Davey replied 2015-04-11 00:10:15I had the exact same spiel but I played along for a while and remained polite. I knew that I had done a huge Windows Update the day before and that all my shields were up but still the man with the Asian accent persisted. He claimed that if I didn't let "Microsoft" tweak my computer it would be attacked by viruses and would be locked-up (this was actually coming across as a blackmail threat) I kept my cool and said "OK I've got a friend who works for GCHQ and I'll get him to look at it." That seemed to rattle the bloke somewhat so that confirmed beyond all reasonable doubt that they are scammers. Take care!TheBoatMan replied 2015-04-16 12:46:52Let's see who can spoof them on the line the longest. Keep giving them legitimate format data but incorrect data. If they say they can't get through to your PC, blame the internet supplier for blocking their access. -

Claimed to be from Microsoft, wanting to talk about my computer. Hung up as soon as I hesitated in my reply.
