Someone called Barry from Procurement because they were looking for an accountants for schools. Not only was he rude and pompous but its also a complete scam.

You cannot call back (they have answerphone - ring every now and then and suggest that you may contract with school acadamies if you do a deal with them - all nonsense - you cannot opt out from their list - tried before but they do not do anything

Call today don't think a scam as think it marketing to schools I do know schools do use them as I did have a word with my brother in-law that he a maths teacher and said they are used on a procurement list as a supplier
So many give it a shot ,
So many people put bad reviews to companies, these days over a bad experience.
All having a bad day all getting even with a company. -

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! They want you to pay your hard earned cash to go on some list where you might or might not get a return when in fact they haven’t even been given permission to act on their ‘clients’ Behalf. They companies that they are selling for when normally outsource the services direct.. therefore these lot are just a bunch of scamming cowboys yeehah!!

Have twice been called by Edfirst now (for two different areas) and both times was met with pushy sales techniques which claimed to offer some exclusive rights over teaching for schools in the area. When I questioned whether work was guaranteed I was told no! So how can they legitimately offer “exclusive” rights to a school when there may be no actual work?! Read many reviews which claim no schools actually use them. Avoid and don’t waste your money.

Receieved a call from this number a few minutes ago. Not sure why someone from Oswestry would want to call me but answered anyway. Very obviously a call centre fronm the background noise so I was quite happy to have a chat but unfortunately the call was dropped. Oh well, no fun to be had here so 01691 numbers are blocked.

Called saying need insurance broker in my area (East Sussex) when checked number back it was a Shropshire number, said needed broker to supply Academy Schools with insurance, however, Academies are on government scheme which is discounted by 40% so can't compete anyway. Suspect they were just looking for contacts details to sell their own services to.

Phoning people to offer to put them on their lists of service providers for schools. It's just another paid for directory service.
This is a premium service for the suppliers. You have to pay to be listed, there is no free option. Not worth it in my opinion.
