They've surpassed themselves with iritating muppetry today - called twice and sent two texts within an hour for different named individuals and with a different reference - what I don't get is what the point of this is? Are they just after confirmation that my number is real and they will then try to sell my phone details on

I got a call from this lot today and went along with it to get there address details. Of course I gave them a load of rubush about me. I then said if they call me again it will be £100 a minute and will be sued if no payment is made. They don't ring any more.

Like everyone else on here, I keep getting phoned about a debt belonging to someone I've never heard of. I phoned them back, and they agreed to remove my number from their system - but I've just received another one. They are stressful and very inconvenient.

This company continue to harass me for a debt which I have nothing to do with.
The debt they claim to be collecting doesn't show up on any of my credit reports.
When I contacted the company who the debt is owed to, they refused to discuss the matter with me because my details didn't match what they had on their system.
It looks like somebody with similar details to me (But not completely identical) has taken out a PayDay loan and now ACI are chasing me for it because I'm on the Electoral Register, and my full name is quite unique/uncommon
I was told by ACI that there was nothing they could do to stop the calls unless I filed a report with ActionFraud.
When I contacted ActionFraud, they said that because I haven't suffered any financial loss from this, it is ACI or the loan company which as been the 'victim' of fraud and so they need to contact ActionFraud themselves.
The only good thing is that I was able to extract *some* information about the debt and it was for a PayDay loan taken out in January 2011, so hopefully in 9 months, once the debt becomes Statute Barred, they will stop calling me. -

Very official sounding assets and collections they where investigating me for fraud, I declined to give any details about myself, advised I would receive a letter, I rung the number back and enquired who they where and who they where collecting on behalf of, not so aggressive when you ring them! Rather nasty scare tactics, I have reported it to debt collection charities.

Left 3 messages on answerphone sayings it's an important personal matter for Sharon Collins. Never heard of her, reluctant to call back as I don't want to encourage any contact at all.
