Claiming to offer a free tablet for being a loyal Vodafone customer, didn’t take a breathe and had said by the end of the speech they were basically sending me the tablet and I had 14 days to return it

I called vodaphone back through their customer service dept to ask about this number, which called me earlier today.
in essence, it is a legit number, but it's basically just vodaphone looking to bulk up their information on customers by asking for a tonne of personal information, for a pretty rubbish discount on some kit. -

Trying to offer me products as vodaphone. Call is from rotherham when the vodaphone call center is based in manchester. Will be making contact with them again then reporting them to fraud watchdog as a precaution. If it was vodaphone who called me they need to stop calling me when i request them to stop.

called twice today, picked up second time around some northern lass claiming to be from Vodafone straight into the sales pitch of some Samsung galaxy tab for £2 something didn't want it or need it or require it. shut them down ASAP.

Vodafone marketing. If you are a Vodafone customer, check your marketing prefs on your account. I have informed them that GDPR, DPA and PECR require explicit permission for marketing calls and that should they continue without express permission to call, then Vodafone will be reported to the ICO for breach of those regulations.
If you have not given express permission to be called regarding marketing, the please report it to the ICO (ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/). This applies to any nuisance call you get from anyone; find out who they are, tell them to stop and rmove your number from their list. If they call again, report to the ICO. -

i rang this number back after various missed calls including immediately after i just used the phone. they said were Vodafone and it was about offers etc but i said i was still in contract. When i checked on my account it would be 300 quid to upgrade so i doubt they would be actively marketing for me to upgrade now. Whatever the truth i was unimpressed with aggressively being chased by them. i don't they know much about me so have to

OK, so this is my 2nd post here, just to let you know that I have found the phone number listed as genuine on Vodafone's own website;

Of course, it's still annoying to receive unwanted telemarketing calls from anyone, so I won't be answering them, but I now doubt very much that they are fake/scam calls (unless the caller has faked the number as well, which is possible but unlikely). -

I don't know why you're all taking the word of one person on this site who commented that it's a scam caller. I've seen lots of comments on another site which say that it's a genuine call eg. "It's a call center who have a contract with Vodafone to cold call and sell extras and upgrade tariffs etc... used to work there".
Either way, I didn't answer the call that I received & put it on my block list. They have no business calling me without my permission. -
