   Very aggressive sales call from Vodafone (legit, the number is on their website). Keeps calling back despite me asking them not to. If you are a customer make a formal complaint, it takes 2 minutes using the form on their website. Not a nice way to treat loyal customers.

   Scam. I use to work for vodafone, and the first thing i asked after he started talking was " who is your line manager?" "And what system am i on". He freaked out and try come back but not a chance. As for the question providing you managers name should be a problem, unless you are a scammer and it takes you 5-6 seconds to invent a name, secondly vodafone has 2 systems that are being used in the company and it's a very simple to answer this question for a vodafone person.
   
   Overal, he was not able to answer easy vodafone questions, and he was trying as hard as possible to change the subject to some tablet blah... blah...
   
   NEVER GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE! If you want to speak to Customer Service about a deal, you call and perhaps you schedule a time and date for a sales call if you really want to get a "special deal". You NEVER provide information for an unscheduled call or to anyone for that matter unless you are 100% needed to, and in the 21 century for big companies most likely you don't need to do it over the phone.

   first give away was the noise in the background, first call I've ever had from any marketing that sounded like she was on a crowded train. Second concern was that she didn't even mention that she was ringing from any company, just asked to speak to the cardholder! not the account holder! I then asked which card would that be? she then backtracked and asked to speak to the account holder and I asked who she was looking for. Again couldn't give me my name! any company that has your details should be able to tell you your own name! I'll give it to her she was persistent as she then tried to give me a free iPad for being a loyal customer! yet still couldn't tell me what I was a customer of!

    They called me back in May offering an extra 3 GB of data for free but then my contact was reduced from 6GB to 4GB AND my bill went up £10. I did call Vodafone to sort it and they were very helpful and even refunded me.
    
    They called again today offering a free phone upgrade.
    
    Really scary how they can do this.

    Received a call offering a free tablet, declined as I did not believe they were calling from Vodafone themselves, and hung up. Then received a seemingly automated text message from Vodafone advising the call was genuine, but the grammar in the text was poor - "infact", "you wasn't sure", "removed you from our list of customer" - so I can't be sure if it is genuine. Surely a big company like that would check something so simple?

    Has called 15 times in the past few days offering me a free tablet, when I said no they still keep calling. spoke to someone in Vodafone and they weren't sure if it was legitimate or not.

    Tried to offer me a free Samsung tablet, I just said yes because I thought it was a scam and that they couldn't actually have my details, I get a text from vodaphone and they ended up charging me delivery and £15 a month... do not accept anything that these people try to give you even if it's free!!!

    very aggressive, immediately asked for my personal details to confirm my identity - they rang me!!! says I agreed to this when I signed my contract. Tried to shout me down when I started questioning her. this is 21st century a genuine comms company should have more reliable and effective means of proving my identity.

    Not a scam at all. It is a Vodaphone number and they offered me a tablet, initially for 'just over £3 a week' which immediately dropped to £10 per month when I declined. I still said no, but caller was polite and not aggressive or persistent.
    If they keep calling I'll revise this rating.

    Kept calling at all different times which is not suitable. Hangs up when you answer. Cannot call back as always engaged.
    Number now blocked and complaint made to Vodafone and copy to my MP.
    Copy of complaint sent to phone regulator for reference.

    Have had multiple calls over the last month, claming to be vodafone but very rude and pushy attitude on the other end. Bit dodgy, even if it is vodafone the customer service is very poor.

    It is Vodafone tele sales department. Atm they're offering a free Samsung galaxy tab, it is free but fail to mention £16 a month contact for 24 month's. Includes dual sim and 5gb internet. I took the offer. If my bank clears out I'll let you know!

    During your contract they occasionally call offering upgrades or other services. can occasionally be useful if you were thinking of upgrading - you can upgrade as early as 6 months before the end of your contract with a telephone advisor as opposed to 3 months online.
    
    When they last called there seemed to be some kind of party in the background. Lots of clapping and shouting - seems to be a typical telesales office, but its not a hard sell.
    
    If you are thinking of renegotiating your contract, get yourself prepared with competitors prices for equivalent tariffs before you speak to them, Vodafone are stupidly expensive and I got 40% off the website price for my last phone/tariff. the forums at money saving expert suggest up to 60% off can be had.

    Very persistent. Claiming to be from vodafone but had no knowledge of current contract. Lady refused to give her full name. When I challenged about it being a scam she quickly changed from being persistent to wanting to get off the phone. I would not trust this number

    This number called me today and claimed to be from Vodafone. Sounded like a call centre. Knew my mobile package, how much my bills are and when my contract expires. He didn't press me on doing anything or giving him any details.
