Cold calls notifying of a government scheme, an obvious con. Please report these calls to WHICH. It is the only way to stop them and get them fined. They are the lowest form of scum.

Asked for Mrs Cragg (not known at this address ever - we are first occupants). Said they were from microsoft and needed to help. When I said no-one of that name here, got flustered and hung up. Tried calling number back but won't go through.

I've several calls from this number first time stating they were from BT and there was an emergency with hacking on my broadband and that they need to remote access my PC then charge me for the service (I don't think so) then the latest was they stated I was owed money for over charges to my bank account said a cheque would be issued to my home address (which was my old address) told the guy I hadn't lived there for years and didn't believe him then hung up!

Claim to be solicitor for ministry of justice sending a cheques for the bank over charging. they were reading from a script so when I started questioning then they put the phone down.
