Just rang me, male with strange accent, said my details had come up this morning and that I was struggling to pay my monthly debts. When I said I didnt have any debts, he hung up.

Answered the call from the first number and they said they were debt collection agency. After a while I thought this is a scam and hung up. They rang me again and again and again. I answered saying "call me back on this number one more time and I'm blocking it!". They instantly called me on a different number and continued to call repeatedly for 10 whole minutes. Each time I rejected the call, they would phone me again

The first time they called me in January this year (2019), it was a man with an Indian sounding accent. When I asked him who he was, he replied: "I am your father"....I thought: ' What a stupid thing to say', and hung up.
The next time he called.. I suspected it was same person, questioned his authenticity and suggested he was part of a scam and he hung up! Then the NEXT time they called me, it was a man with a Chinese sounding accent, he sounded very suspiscious and when I questioned him, he hung up! I have since BLOCKED the number on my phone so, instead of me being interrupted by an annoying scammer on a ringing phone I simply get an information tag letting me know that a number I blocked has tried to call me YET AGAIN!! -

Called 4 times in the last hour and I keep rejecting them because after answering once, they said they were calling from some credit company and that they could help me with my debts. I don't have any but I blocked the number because they are just pests.

Keep getting calls for my wife on my mobile phone. Getting fed up with it. Asian said she owed a debt. My number and her name have never been linked on anything she has her own. Strange that they ask for her by name. Told him next call I received would be passed to the police. Tried calling it back but unobtainable. Big big scam.

I asked "what debt?" and he replied by saying loans, credit cards and that type of thing and that they were outstanding. I told him I had no outstanding debt and he asked if I lived at xx address. Fake organisation "Government Department of Citizens Advice" claiming they had been handed my credit file and they could help me get an IVA. When I pointed out that if they did have my file, that they would have it illegally, they insisted that "the rules have changed"... I just didn't have time to mees with them today but had a good laugh down the phone and hung up.

Rang to ask about outstanding debt in my name. I said I don't have any (second time I had spoken to them in the hour) and asked what the debt was. The man said that's what I'm trying to find out. I said don't get cross and he called me a f-ing stupid idiot and hung up. Rude, aggressive and fake!

Asian man, who I could barely understand called Shaun/Sean said he was from the Citizen's Advice- and wanted to help with my debt as they had a report about my debt! I asked twice who they were, thinking they may have set up a company with a similar name. He said 'ave you not heard of the citizens advice bureau' I said of course- but I don't think a giv agency would cold call- or have time to look into individual cases and if they did, I'm sure they would only focus on those in debt!!
I asked where he got my details and he said I'd applied for a bank loan/credit card or something else and it came up! Which isn't true.
Citizens Advice is a place to seek help if in debt, so i'm worried that someone in debt may be relieved by this call and give away details that put them in a worse situation! :(Mrs C replied 11/6/17, 5:47 PMSame guy just rang me

Asian man called. stated he was from citizens advice bureau! said I had unpaid dept that I was regularly paying, also stated he had been given my info by the government! he went on to explain I could write off 60% of my debt without any implications to my credit rating. ha, if only it were true!
