01782887349... I can only assume that they were calling because I recently (less than a week ago) took home & content insurance with another company but used a comparison website to find a good deal... that is probably how they got my number. I have blocked them as I do not entertain cold callers.

These people rang me on 01782887349 about 6 months after I tried to use them for a quote. The caller could not pronounce my name correctly and I was unable to make out which Insurance Company she represented. She rang off when I used my "old fart" I can't hear you dear, routine. The company was in fact useful in that originally they informed me of "3" YES "3" 'to blame claims' in my name. I now have none and it was a task to get in touch with the CUE Database people, the BBC, journalists and other insurers, to get my records set right. This company are probably OK but I have learned as a result of dealing with them and a few others that the industry stinks. I now have cameras front and back !

Same scenario as others here.. I took out a new policy a week ago.. I've taken one call this week trying to sell me legal cover ( not interested ) .. since then, this number has phoned me a few times, when I pick up, there is no-one there

I answered this mystery call (only the word CALL appeared where the caller's number is usually identified so this was something new) and became worried when the person said it was Autonet as I only opened a policy with them a week ago and thought there must be a hitch. She said there was no problem, but she wanted to put me through to someone who could tell me about other services they offered. I told her indignantly that if I had ticked that I wanted to receive such calls it had been a mistake and it should be un-ticked. Later in the day I found this number had rung. I checked it online and found it was Autonet! Researching further, I found many people had been complaining about getting unwanted calls after taking out policies with them. They appear to have become a regular nuisance to people who have tried to stop their marketing calls and failed.
