I was called by this number this morning. They told me they were calling regarding my licence from MICROSOFT being lapsed. They told me they would be able to renew my licence and could show me how to remove hackers from my laptop. I allowed these people access to my laptop thinking I was removing the hackers and viruses from the laptop. They gained access to my files and I have had money removed from my bank account (now closed).

this may well be a scam operating as microsoft
Rightfirsttime replied 2/5/16, 4:27 PMAgreed - absolutely. Claims to be Microsoft refunds department. Not even close - please avoid. Probably working in conjunction with 01622 371141 who claims to be Microsoft computer security department.

Confirming previous comments for this phone number. Rang purporting to be Microsoft. Tried to convince me that they have my computer's licence number by reading out a number, then getting me to look at .ZFSendToTarget setting in file associations. the tried to get me to go to websites www.fix.us or www.support.me. I did not take it further. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. IT IS A SCAM.
