Got a call from a lady asking me what phone i had brought from carphone warehouse. Must of found out my number online and tried selling me insurance, i asked why she was calling me on a house phone and she became very rude and demand for me to listen to her deal. SCAM SCAM SCAM

took out a new sim only contract on vodafone only few days ago so i was surprised that anyone has actually got my number yet. however received a call at 11am from this number didn't answer it and no voicemail left.

Had a call today from a lady trying to sell me insurance for my phone which I only got yesterday and already took out insurance on it. Can only have got my number from Carphone Warehouse. Network is Vodafone. Maybe they are trying to see whether or not their new customers have insurance.

JUst had a call from this number trying to sell me mobile phone insurance. I have only this phone for a few days so could have only got my number from Carphone Warehouse.

They called me 2 days after starting a new mobile phone contract with vodafone through carphone warehouse. They must get the new contract phone numbers from carphone warehouse or vodafone. I am not happy I am getting nuisance calls already. They said they wouldn't phone again. Number blocked anyway.

I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else.
I am surprised nobody else has clicked on to this yet......Doesn't sound too dodgy to me.
Obviously Adrian has opted for no marketing calls from Carphone Warehouse themselves. There's nothing CW can do about Vodafone calling their own customers, they're only a third party company. -
