As comments above, he told me he was conducting a survey for the government to see how the effect of the recession were effecting people. And he asked for my name and date of birth, which I stupidly gave him !! Then asked me random questions if I had a car & what type, if it was taken out on HP, whether I'd had a loan/mortgage/credit card with PPI & also where their I was financially struggling or not !! I didn't answer all his questions honestly as I had the impression there was more to it & when I've tried to call the number back I get cut off...I can't stop thinking about it & as yet I have found no company relating to the telephone number - very suspicious !!!!!

Survey. When I asked what it was regarding he said to see how people were coping with the recession. The questions were related to finance, occupancy of home, insurance, driving habits, employment status so it sort of went with the territory.
Wouldn't give a company name though, hence the low score. -
