   Called, asked if my name was Phil, hung up. Called number back but it’s a silent line. Doesn’t ring, just answers but no ones there

   Just reported it to Action Fraud. I would advise everyone to keep an eye on their finances for a while.

   Same thing just happened to me! I have just googled this phenomenon and apparently it is to record you saying "yes" in order to use the recording as proof when making fraudulent transactions on your behalf.
