Update on this one - same number has just phoned but this time operator (with a heavy Indian (?) accent) tried to tell me he was from BT Openreach, and they have found that over the past few days they had seen 'suspicious activity' on the line. Ironic, eh? Got quite aggressive when I told him - quite politely - to get lost. Reported to Ofcom yesterday, BTW

Just got another call from same number (same script - they obviously don't talk to each other). This time I was far less polite and hopefully, that will be the end of that. He still tried to be aggressive ('now just listen to me, etc.'), which is annoying as it could be quite intimidating to some people.

indian voice in call centre, delay in the call connecting. Person said they were from bt openreach very hard to understand person, very heavy accent reading from script saying my motherboard was effected with a virus etc, scam call so I hung up
