   5 mins ago,Indian accented bloke trying to get me to go online to improve my "BT"internet speed, highly suspicious especially since I no longer have BT. Told him he was a scamming a***hole and never to phone me again, call barred number. Also illegal since phone is registered with TPS

   My father had a call from this number earlier today - heavily accented Mark reporting that his PC was causing issues on the BT Network. Asked my dad to try & log onto a number of sites in AccessmyPC - when these wouldn't work he tried a few Function key shortcuts and then reported an engineer will need to come out. in all he was on the phone over 1 hour and supposedly the engineer will be calling on monday - needless to say I will be waiting but I very much doubt there will be any contact - will now disinfect the PC & make sure nothing has been compromised.

   john from bt internet security called to say my internet had been compromised,although it was very hard to understand him. gave me a long number to enter in my computer, once the internet had been switched off then on again. asked me what my computer screen was telling me after he told me to enter the crtl and other buttons had no intention of doing this,i told him the screen said f---k off you a bunch of scammers

   Received a call from this number today saying they were from BT internet security. Strong Indian accent. I said if there was a problem I would ring BT direct.

   "John" from "BT" called (again) 0846 Tuesday 13 Dec 2016 re my compromised BT Internet Account. Phone showed International call so Argyle & Bute number cloned. Told him he was a dead man & I would kill him.

   "BT" called 0838 Mon. 12 Dec. 2016, "Your BT Internet connection has been compromised, can you sit before your computer?" V. strong Indian accent, phone showed above number Kimelford in Scotland. Call closed - but he WILL be lucky today.

   Had call from "Steven" claiming to be from BT, very similar to one I had last week, told him as such, and that I had checked out the last one with BT and he hung up whilst I was mid-sentence. If in any doubt call BT and they can tell you when you were last contacted by them, although they don't seem to be bothered about doing anything about these nuisance scam calls.

   Identical call from this number, who told me that BT had given them my name and my phone number. Very strong Indian accent but said he was UK BT should investigate and block 01852 369842, it's clearly a scam to access my broadband and pc

    Can now confirm the call I received from BT this morning was spurious BT tell they will NEVER call you it is up to customers to contact them unless it is an official letter request They probably wanted access to my computer so they could lock it & then demand money - do not under any circumstances give them access to your computer. BT have noted the no but it is probably accessed from abroad (India) Incidentally because I was 'busy' Jack Smith agreed with me he would call back @ 4pm needless to say he did not call!!

    Had a similar call this morning to say my broadband was being compromised and there were certain things I had to do.
    It was from a strong Indian accent ( presume India) but said he was speaking on behalf of BT in Newgate Street , London
    I asked him his name and whether I could call him back.
    He gave a BT number - 0800800150 but omitted to give the first 0.
    He said his name was Mark Williams - ha ha
    Just contacted BT about the scam who state that BT don't ring customers and given them the number to try and block.- 01852.369842- based North West of Glasgow.
    Trouble was I got through to BT India !!

    This number claims to be BT Technical an Indian voice name Jack Smith -!!! Says there is a technical difficulty with my internet & wanted to talk me through it - got suspicious as to where this was leading & said it was inconvenient - why would bt technical ring from a Scottish rural location - treat with care! Am trying to get hold of bt but they are busy!

    Yes we have had the same. Wife took the call while I was out. They stated they were from BT and needed to install a patch on our PCs to fix a broadband glitch. They asked wife to Download team viewer which she did and they were in the process of accessing our machine when I came in and ended the call and turn the pc off. They called from 01852 369842 but gave us the number 0121 3181 258. In the process of virus checking pc and dealing with banks....
