Hundreds of people have reported the criminals using this invented number, and many others. When I answered late yesterday there was no immediate response, just the same as in all other cases except when a recorded message has been set up to try to hook me. Using the usual patter, the man, saying he was from Talk Talk, first wanted to know how I was doing today. Ignoring this, I asked who he wanted to talk to. When he said it was the owner of this line I told him to hold on. He did, but for not as long as I would have liked, before ending the call. From other sites I have learned he was about to tell me my line was going to be disconnected unless I..... It is strange that I got another call the previous day with a recorded message saying I was going to be disconnected be the end of the day, yet my telephone and internet service were still working. They have enabled me to make this report today.
