just had a call from William, an Indian who was adamant that I had a server. when asked where he was, he said Norwich, asked him for his number to give him a call back and he cancelled the call. strange that he did not want to pursue this further!!! Don't accept his word as it is a scam!!

Just had a call from 'William' an nice indian accented gut from Norwich saying that my network had been compromised, all was going swimmingly until he told me that my computer could be accessed while the router was disconnected and the machine was switched off, apparently there are only 3 mainframe servers in the whole world and he was a Tech from the one in Norwich that for some reason I can't find in an internet search, I will give this guy his due- he was cool calm and bloody beleivable.

Like many others, have had several calls saying there were 6 computers on my network. I kept him on the phone for a while to try and find out who he was. He kept on trying to convince me. Eventually I tired and ended the call.

Same as previous reports - A guy with an Indian accent called my mobile stating their records show I had installed 6 new computers on my network and other people were illegally using my connection, as an experienced fraud investigator I was not best pleased when he started talking about checking my computer connection and was invited in a firm, robust and expletive laden manner to go away and never bother me again.

'Roy' from 'skytech' called to tell my internet has been hacked or I'm sharing it with my neighbours who are also using my password. Said I would be able to see this on windows( I don't use Windows)I asked for his full details and contact number( it was already on my phone) but he declined and hung up.

A guy with an Indian accent called my mobile asking if I had installed 6 new computers on my network. Also stated other people were illegally using my connection. He attempted to take me through some of my computer network stats to 'prove' this. I told him I would look after my own computer security and told him not to call again.

Called just now, saying they had a high capacity cartridge for my printers that will do 25k prints for £175.00, told them we are paying way less than that already,but wouldn't listen, so told him I was ending the conversation. If cartridges COULD do 25k prints, other companies (including HP) would be doing it already. Reading the previous comments, sounds like they are jumping from one scam to another, avoid at all costs.

She said "Sabrina" here - "our software says that you connected 6 new computers to your network yesterday - did you do that?" When I asked which company she represented she said "when you bought your computer you were given software support and hardware support" - NO I wasn't! I did not get/buy any support. When challenged "Sabrina" hung up!

Asked me about attaching 6 computers to my network. Whether neighbours can access my network. They are "insurances providers" for my software. It was all bullshit. She had no clue what she was talking about and hung up. Most likely a scam
