   Yesterday I spoke to the caller who told me about special Nissan promotions. I asked who he was and he said F J Chalke of Wincanton which is near here in Somerset, a long way from Runcorn!
   This morning I rang F J Chalke and asked what was going on. They said they use someone else to do promotions. I complained I was being hassled with several calls a day. I told them a lot of people had complained about these calls and they should do something to stop them. Will be interesting to know if they do.

   My answer phone picked up their call but all I could hear were fizzes and crackles. Sounded dodgy to me so I didn't ring back.
   Sounds as if I did the right thing.

   I live in hanley - it's happened ever since I gave my phone number to Holdcroft mitsubshi in Hanley - wonder if they have sold it on?

   2 calls today and 1 yesterday from this number. When I answer, it's just a dead line. Have just bought a new car (yesterday)and my mobile is the contact number the dealer has (VERY few businesses have it), so I suspect it's related to my purchase - probably trying to sell me car insurance or extended warranty or something.

   Back again, they phoned my mobile yesterday and today my landline. Local garage had my contact numbers 2 years ago when I bought a car. In the past has just been postal advertising. The number is in Runcorn so misrepresentation of fact! Answered the phone with what are you selling, told them not to phone again as I don't want to buy a car. Must be a call centre in Runcorn, annoyed that local garage has sold or is using contact details for reasons beyond the original sale!!!

    I've probably had about 10 calls from this number to my business now, every time i answer there is no one on the other end, just a beep.

    I've had three missed calls from this number in as many weeks, I finally answered in time and it was someone from a local Honda garage (wirral based) asking about a car I had serviced with them recently, told them I'd since sold it and they said they would update their records. Looks like tele-marketing as I'm sure the next question would have been if I was interested in purchasing a new one instead.....

    8 October 2012 Had a silent call from this company. Dialled 1471 and was identified as a Debt Collection agency from Runcorn. Had another call from the same company later on and a female asked me if my wife was going to attend a car sales event on the Wirral and whether she was thinking of buying a car in the near future. Odd!!!!
