This company ring on behalf of your energy provider to upgrade your meters to the new smart meters which transmit your meter readings and install an indoor reading to help you used your energy more wisely. They will call back 3 days before my app to confirm that we will be in otherwise there will be a charge for missed app.

This time the caller claimed to be from Good Energy and wanted a meter readings. I explained I had emailed one in the last few days and he could get it from his colleague Rebecca. He promptly lost interest.
I am sure he is not with Good Energy and this is some kind of identity theft, phishing attack or other scam (based on one comment above it could be charging for missed appointments).Raisinmeister replied 1/8/15, 5:41 PMI spoke to Good Energy and they confirmed that they do use this company.

I do not care if this is a genuine company. My power supplier had not told me about them and anyway there is no way I am going out of my house at 8pm to do a meter reading for them.

It's Lowri Beck people. Different energy providers contract with them to provide additional meter readings - even if you enter yours online.
The last time they phoned me I wasn't happy and said so. I was not about to battle through the shrubbery in the pouring rain to get a reading that had been submitted just 3 days ago. What's the point of that anyway? The confirmation reading should be taken by them in person. Since then they have been forced to turn up but they think the meter is inside and never seem to see the big white thing by the door. I never answer anyway. I just leave them to work it out ha ha. -

This number called me in the evening. It is my policy NOT to pick up unknown numbers but to let the answering machine kick while I listen.They claim they needed to take my meter readings (which I had submitted to my supplier by text 2 weeks ago and received an immediate acknowledgement of receipt)
Contacted my supplier who said they had no knowledge of or dealings with this company. If this is a scam I can't see what they are hoping to achieve, but with my provider's agreement I'm blocking this number -

Meyer reading firm phoned re call to be made shortly. Explained readings given to energy supplier Co-op only 4 weeks ago and bill already paid. Was advised to contact supplier to find out why - told L B they would have to make an appt to call due to disability, otherwise they would not be allowed in house. Phoned supplier. No particular reason given for requested readings and could not justify a call. Also told Coop that LB would have to make appt before calling. Was advised that If readings call avoided could break in to do so. Told Coop just let them try !!!

Called late evening and asked me to do a meter reading. I have had no advice from my elctricity company about this company so I do not trust them and told them so. If they are genuine why has my supplier not told me?

Called on behalf of Co-op for upto date Gas & Electric Meter Readings.
This all makes perfect sense as even though I normally provide them online, by law the Gas & Electric companies have to take a meter reading themselves every 2 years.
It seems the co-op contract meter readings out to another company, who simply phone for them rather than visiting. Obviously the co-op are charged for getting the meter readings off this compant, but in the long run the customers get the savings, so I do not have any problems with this as I am on cheapest gas & electricity. They might not call again as this time next year I will have switched to whoever is currently the cheapest :)TPole replied 3/17/17, 12:47 PMmakes no sense at all - the purpose of independent meter readings is to check consumer readings and so getting consumers to give readings over phone is pointless for supplier - only good for people scamming data or preparing 'PPI' style quotes! -

I asked her if it is for billing to which she replied it is not for billing but just for checking if meters are working fine and that they are doing these calls twice a year - which was a bit strange. I have not provided her any other information apart from meter readings and I confirmed part of postcode which she already knew.
I find it strange but at least I'm reminded to provide my readings to PFP online which I was due to anyway... -

These people left a message for me to submit meter readings. It sounded a bit dodgy so I went to the website address that they gave and found it to be an advertising site so I didn't return the call. I can't see the point of giving them readings when I do it online direct with my supplier. I've put the number on my blacklist sot they won't be troubling me again.

They called my mobile and left a message for me to phone with meter readings (even though I sumitted them on-line in last 30 days). They get paid for each reading, without them collecting it. So my energy provider has increased costs(passed onto the customer) to receive something they already have. I'll save costs for me and my provider by submitting on-line.

Lowri Beck are a meter reading company who call me to ask for a meter reading (gas and electric) about once a year. I'm with Good Energy and they have been using LB for a few years to provide this service. There has never been a problem, and as GE are a top ethical company I would think they would only use a trusted company anyway.

Just been contacted by this number,claimed to be from(cooperative energy)asking for an up to date reading of my meters.I normally supply them online at the beginning of the month(which is only 2 days away) I gave them the readings and then they asked if they were located inside or outdoors.They also asked if they were accessible to an engineer should they need to call???????? This has all the makings of a SCAM.I have notified my energy provider regarding this matter

I received called this number pretending to be from Lowri back and that they were advise by my gas provider to change my meter, I called back lowri beck and my gas provider and they didn't provide any such instructions. BIG time SCAM

Lowri Beck may be a bona fide company but they are a nuisance. I am a customer of Good Energy and they passed my phone number to Lowri Beck without my permission. I have asked three times that Lowri Beck remove my number from their database and they are still phoning me.

I ceased to be a customer of isupply on 14th May 2016 and am awaiting a refund on basis of confirmed final reading. Why then did these people ring me on 18th June asking for an electricity meter reading? Seems suspicious especially as the asked for some personal details. Told them they could have the reading and nothing else. Didn't remember I'd changed suppliers until after call ended.

Cold call from this number always at bloody tea time! Unsolicited call despite registering with TPS and specifying not to share my details with third parties. This is about a week after meter reads done and we are currently supplied by npower as with other callers... Save yourself the hassle, don't answer!

This number is for Lowri Beck, who are contracted to read meters for a number of companies.
Despite asking them to call at weekends to do this, they still come during the week, leave a card and ask me to ring back. I give my readings on line, so I shant be bothering to ring them, nor answer their calls.
My contract is with NPower!
