A recording. As soon as one of those kicks in I hang up, so I've no idea which outfit it was or what they're peddling. What I didn't realise was that the other end doesn't hang up, just keeps on blathering - I wanted to call it back in case I could reach a human, but because of this I couldn't. A pain in the neck if you have only one line.
The anonymous "Get "CPR CallBlocker"" suggestion on this page is the best idea I've heard. -
